Moving house so not much from me lately. I did find this one image from my last air show in which the ROKAF T-50 was perfectly symmetrical relative to me. Next I am off to LIMA 2023 in Langkawi Malaysia in May to get some SU-30s and other types I don't see down under.
Finally had a day that it wasn't blowing 15-25 so I booked a helo and spent an hour shooting aerials........McKinney continues with it's runway extension and taxiway improvements...........
I don't shoot as many aerials as I once did, probably a casualty of the "everyone has a drone" syndrome. The truth is, and I try to educate both new and existing clients about this, a drone and a helicopter are just tools, neither supplants the other. I analyze each request for an aerial shoot and determine what tool is most appropriate for to the need and then I use that one. There isn't a tremendous difference in cost a lot of times because I charge for my time to and from the site for drone work , and I can generally shoot aerial stock or piggy back another job in from the helicopter.
I am just in the final edits of a video for my Triple 7 clients, so far I have 14 hours in what will end up being a four minute, 20 second video. The video is for their first trade show and really the international debut of the company, pretty significant event. Our library of images/video is expanding, but it has a long way to go (happy about that!). The graphic opportunities are visually endless with this group. I find myself waking up in the middle of the night with a head full of new ideas for still and video images.
Thank you Bill! We are building a great media library, it's challenging but tremendous fun! Top mgmnt. screened our video this afternoon and the CEO texted me, "Perfect! Don't change a thing!", we are two days ahead of schedule so we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Exactly what you wanna hear Jim...Nice job !
Allen is running out of available land for development. This is a new "Mixed Use" project that has single family, multi-family, restaurants, entertainment venues, and office space, it's about five minutes from our house. That's actually a good thing because people are beginning to complain about these types of developments due to the drifting sound of bands in the evening.
Jim,
Here in Maryland the state is going to an ALL "multi family" dwelling units. If you want a single family home, they charge an "excise" tax for that AND require more permits to do it.
Gosh we got to get out of here!

I use my aviation photography ultimately to create aviation 'art', sold as wall art.
Some of my images posted here are straight out of Lightroom with only basic colour and tonal adjustments and I will continue to post those here in this topic in the future.
But there are others I create that take things a bit too far for the Mustang board, in my opinion, and out of respect for the board and the quality of the photography and photographers here, I feel they should be posted elsewhere.
So I have created an "Aviation Art" Topic in the 'Digital Art, Smartphones & Abstracts' Presentation Board and I will use that to post my images that stray too far from pure aviation photography.
This Raptor image, for example, has not only sky replacement, but motion blur and has been through several other effects programs, so it falls squarely into Digital Art. Although I like it, and others may too, for me, this type of image does not belong here (apart from illustrating the point I am making, obviously).
That's a great image and it looks wonderful on our thread. We get a lot of leeway here, being the 800 Gorilla has its perks So don't be bashful. So glad that you joined up with us!
I'm headed out to do some "environmental" headshots for a client. This is really the first time that I am putting the Westcott 400's to the test. No power near the location so they should be perfect for the assignment. Westcott FJ400/Westcott Beauty Dish is the set up I am planning for.........fingers crossed...........
