Thanks Dan, it was a huge day in the life of this startup. Supply chain issues and manufacturer problems delayed, and even put their existence in jeopardy, but those hurdles were negotiated and behind them as the equipment rolled out the gate yesterday and today. Their services are in extreme demand by all the big drilling companies so it should be downhill from here.
And I can't even get my lawnmower fixed! Yeah I am late to the game b.....never a problem before. But heh that is "Harry Homeowner here" Tried plug change, clean fuel line and filter, air filter....!
I am just finding very hard too keep my sanity! Nobody seems to want work anymore! And those that do, are overloaded!
And now get this...this is all "soap box crap" guyz and gals, so it is what is happening in my entire area.....My primary care doc is retiring end of June. He is in his 80's.
The practice became part of the local hospital cabal and I now have to be "assigned" a doctor if I want to stay in the practice! But this is happening all over in Maryland. There are only 1 handful, if that, of private hospitals here and that include the DC area!
And there are more serious immediate issues I have to deal with! Just venting here...the media here seems to think it is "Merry-land"!
I am happy this man is getting work. If I dont get a gash here or blister there, blood dripping from my bald head... I dont consider the job done!
Great news Jim!

That spot in Iowa is in the Davenport area, Lock & Dam something . Every time I think about going it's windchill of -20 and I lose interest.
Darn brother, I was born there! Iowa spelt backwards is COLD!! But yes great photo ops there.
The noose around our necks, more so here, is getting tighter! I just don't see anything positive happening today. Economics 101 will starkly point, part of, this out.
And now another SSN breach!? Fred's caution for his members should be applauded despite frustration.

Douglas, just tell them you identify as anything but the obvious. If it is an Army M.P. it will only look at you funny, then say "OK". If it is an Air Force S.P. it will slap you on the back then say "come on in". If it is a Navy Shore Patrol, it will ask you for a date.
Our military is imploding.
Ray, perhaps they will let me in if I give them a pack of new Bud Light with Dylan Mulvaney's lovely picture.
Dan, I went to Conowingo Dam around 4:00 this afternoon to shoot eagles, lo and behold, two A-10s flew over the dam! But slowly. I have gone to the dam maybe 40 times, this is the first time I saw them flying over the dam. Maybe because you just talked about it?. Here they are.

Ansel was right, "F8 and Be There!"
JW actually the thinking is Weegee might have coined the phrase and he shot with a Speed Graphic. 4X5 format. Adams was a lot more precise with his philosophy and approach (zone system and all)

Thanks Douglas! "Big Brother" is not a myth! The tank and A10 range is about 10 miles South of the dam.
Great captures!
Dan
Sure is fun and it'll be even more so when I get better at setting up routes and flying anyplace in the world. FYI: check out VATsim, a world-wide ATC simulator comprised of volunteer "controllers" with whom there is in real-time, actual Comm's between the controller and pilot. Lots to learn.
Edit: one more of landing at KPHL. I can only imagine what the real aircraft is like. Looks like I'm gonna have to win the lottery.
Well it has been rumored for several years, but it looks like it becomes reality this month, the Inspire 3. I can hardly wait to see what DJI built into this one!

Does anyone else sense the pilot of the second image is on a cell phone? OK, he's got a helmet on so,... but wait, could be on speaker phone and using his mic to listen on, no? Of course he would have to disconnect from the base, still?
Is that possible?
Sorry, but a cockpit of a fighter jet would make the ultimate secure phone booth
Well Mr Zoom in super clear quality Douglas could tell ya.
.
Looks like put oxygen mask on/off maybe ?
.
Or, he's calling his buddys on the phone and saying...Watch this pass !!!

Here is the uncropped size, and the super aggressively cropped version. I can't really tell what he was holding.
I am not sure how pilots in this class of aircraft communicate. I know when I visit the local non military airports the headset type mics.
But at military airports, JB Andrews, Martin AP, Dover AFB....the oxy mask is also their communication device.(I think).
Just my take.
Again Douglas, glad they passed by........
