When did you capture that Jan Arie? Just beautiful!
Couple of weeks ago at The Royal International Air Tattoo in the UK off base on a camp site at the other side of the airfield.
For a small amount you can drive up there and watch the airshow from there a lot of the displays fly directly over your head.
That gives you sometimes some great and unusual angels..

J-A,
I understand from a UK member that if you go to the "Lakes Region" of the UK you can be at the same level as aircraft approach a Royal AFB as they streak between the mountains for landing approach!

What a thrill to be at that level!

The Lakes is part of the UK low fly system I have never been there but I have been multiple time to the LFA 7 also know as the mach loop.
It a hit and miss thing, you hike up the mountain and wait for something to pass.
Sometime something passes but I had days that were a blank but still you had a great day in the outdoors.
Tornado GR4 LFA 7 Wales 2014 taken from Cad West.
Side note to this photo , I was with Marcel on the mountain and as we were about to leave someone's phone rang as there were other guys on the mountain some of the guys said he were you going we said we are going home.
And he said don't go there is a Tornado on the way he will be here in 20 min, seemed that the guy on the phone had the pilot on and he was right right on time the Tornado came thundering down the valley below and he did two passes with swept wings needless to say that was pretty awesome....
Average speed is 500kts and they are not allowed to use afterburner but sometime you see a photo with, most of the times that is a fini flight..

testing with DXO pure raw seems it's all automatic but i like the results in combo with PS or Lightroom
I've migrated to using DXO. I can't replicate the sharpening and noise reduction with lightroom or photoshop. And if you'd like another opinion, Thom Hogan thinks well of it as well: https://bythom.com/newsviews/stop-fearing-noise.html. I haven't compared the lens corrections yet, however.
Yeah, I haven't tried Topaz. I've heard people say that it sometimes leaves some visible artifacts but I've never tried it. DXO really seems to do an excellent job of noise reduction for me.

I use DXO's Nik Collection. But I started using it when Nik was its own software company. I am less than happy with their Tech Support.
But when everything works correctly, I LOVE it!
