My Macs are struggling with all the video editing I've been doing lately, and I anticipate lots more work in that area. I'm talking with a couple of Mac gurus about specs for a Mac Studio. Apparently there is little to no benefit defaulting to the biggest and fastest because the software, especially Premier Pro is not optimized for the M1 chip. Final Cut Pro and Davinci Resolve have incredibly reduced playback and rendering times when compared to anything else on the market, and the $4000 Studio Pro unit equals or exceeds the $8,000 one in just about every test.

Golf never has appealed to me Dan, but this is a cool backyard for a golf aficionado. James is spending a few days at The Gulf and I'm missing him terribly (but I've gotten a ton of work done this week).........

Jim,
My father was an excellent golfer and a State champion.
I enjoyed it when I was young. But as I grew older I seemed to become a "machine gun" golfer...hit it into the woods and see where the ricochet lands! . Patience also..I had very little. I caddied when I was young for money. I enjoyed being outside and the exercise. It kept me out of trouble!
Even I could have fun in that back yard. The balls on the green already!

While I don't "play the game of golf", I still have my vintage 2001 golf equipment. (My driver looks to be the size of today's 5 woods.). But I do go out in the field and whack a ball with my irons. I use it for exercise because just walking gets boring. So I hit the ball 150-180 yards and walk to it, then do it again. I usually do this until I reach a mile or so. However, with this drought I have been making too many holes in one! The cracks in the ground are large enough to swallow the golf ball.😟
BTW, I sent my R6 to CPS (Canon) for a check up. Turns out it has a shutter problem. They were going to charge me over $300 (USD) for the repair. Thanks for their quick email/messaging, I was able to call them to remind them it was still under warranty. The Customer Service guy looked at my file and said the service center had the sales invoice and should have known. An hour later I got the notice the repair was covered under warranty. Guess we have to stay on top of things.

I just sent my client that video and he loved it. He texted me back to say that he is about to start a project that is going to require before/during coverage. Apparently it's a million bucks, just for the pool, landscape and peripherals are on top of that................Thank the Good Lord for the .5 of 1%.................
