Hi Jan-Arie, So nice to see you posting! Great that you managed a trip to the UK and got some buddy time. I’m amazed that you managed to get any pictures at all – very well done! Down here on the south coast (UK) the only light we’ve been getting is bad – or none at all.
Yeah it was challenging at times all the guys used ladders to get a clear view.
But I just looked and sometimes took a photo it was quite the view to see a full KC-10A take off from Mildenhall with a wet runway impressive.

Boy can I remark on the B52's.!!! You heard them coming and everything in between! Rarely could see them from the jungle canopy but boy the ground shook even at bombing levels!

Beautiful shoot of a fantastic aircraft!
Glad also to see you back "J-A"!

I am East of the SW to NE military path to Dover. The monster C141's pass by often and they too are loud-n-proud! When they reduce thrust for track to DMAFB, you can feel the mirrors rattle! A B52?? I do have a bomb cellar!!!

How is Roel Jan-Arie? I enjoyed our time together in Fort Worth years ago.
That would be Marcel you met him in Vegas in 2010.
As far as I can remember Roel was never in Alliance , But I think he did post here every now and then.
Marcel is good always busy, He still photographs but rarely post or shares' his stuff.
I think he still watches the treath....
I see my Class A's..at least one of the unit patches I earned and wore shown but I was not an officer. Just a grunt with rank to its left(officer's uniform left)!
Great image!
173rd?
My Godson just finished his first enlistment with them in Italy....now he's gone to Alaska.
I spent the morning scouting locations and brainstorming with a long time corporate client. We are doing a corporate marketing shoot next week and I'm rethinking how I'm going to light the images. The 85/1.2 is going to figure into this project, and I'm heading to Competitive Camera to pick up a couple of Westcott FJ400 strobe units. All of these shots will be on location, 110V isn't readily accessible and I don't want cords draped around the locations anyway. I'm thinking the FJ units and a Westcott Beauty Dish might be the perfect light source to create the look I'm after. Truth is, we've done this before with available light and everyone was perfectly happy, but I'm thinking that I want to take this up several notches. Doing it the way I'm thinking is going to create more work but the resulting imagery will be worth it. These are destined for the walls in a new corporate center that will see a tremendous amount of traffic, so they should be striking.
University of Mary Hardin Baylor won a battle with Trinity University (San Antonio) to make the NCAA Div. III Sweet Sixteen. It was a fierce game with both teams playing very strong. UMHB finished strong for the win with a 98-82 victory.
Sorry to see the Smugmug issues are not just me, I see Ray's images are blocked now too. Hopefully they will get it fixed on Monday.
How often does everyone check the screws on their lens mounts? I had read here on FM about screws coming loose, but it never happened to me. But on Saturday I was shooting a hockey game when I came upon one of the Moms struggling with an EF70-200 and an R6 (she owns a portrait business in Rochester, NY).
All four mount screws were loose and about to fall out. The lens mount was all floppy. How does that happen? There was no way that lens would mount, so it must have been OK when it was last dismounted, and got looser in her bag? Very strange.
Luckily I have the eyeglass screwdriver accessory on my Swiss Army knife, and I was able to reset the screws for her. Not super tight, but good enough to secure the mount so she could shoot the game.
When I got home I got out my JIS screwdriver and checked my lens mounts. All the screws were tight, but I should probably start carrying that screwdriver with me.

Never had that happen in forty years. I wonder if she had someone work on it for some reason and they didn't snug those screws down?
I don't think so, but a good question. I'm curious too, will try to find out.
Smugmug apparently isn't working with Firefox right now. I get a message saying that Firefox can't connect because the connection isn't secure. When I view my earlier posts here (like the bald eagle), the images are not visible. Same with images in Ray's posts, so Ray I figured you were also using Smugmug to host.
