Take a gander at that ceiling treatment. They shut down the country club for a week, removed all the chandeliers, and had a team of floral designers/artists install all that beautiful stuff. I would imagine that it will take days to put it all back in it's original state. The effect was indeed stunning.
Wow! Finally a wedding with more groomsmen than I had! I told my wife if she adds one more bridesmaid I would have to call up Labor Temps for any additional groomsmen or ushers! (I asked her bridesmaids to provide some and then my bride backed off having a groomsman for her 13 year old sister!)
I was hired by an individual owner who just purchased this Embraer Praetor and wanted some nice photos of it, before Christmas. This is the first "brand-new" aircraft I've ever photographed, and it is a beauty. The owner also has a Citation Mustang and he wants me to photograph it sometime, once winter is over.
A few shots of the first snow storm of this winter. The Arlington National Cemetery was closed to visitors today due to the storm. Will try to head out there tomorrow morning to get some shots of the Christmas wreaths in snow, it's rare to have both.

Douglas just stunning images!!!!
We got NADA!!!!!!
5 miles south and east WHAM!!!!! Blasted!!!!
Glad it was them this time! Had many doctor's appointments yesterday!
Again great images and yes I know where!!!
Dan
PS are you close to St Anthony's? Ten Oaks Tavern?
I hear you Dan, Canon's main design group is billing the R1 as "Master of Everything", and with anywhere near this specs it certainly will be. I also don't see it coming in at $8500 because Canon is going to want to upstage Sony and Nikon both in specs and selling price. If the specs are anywhere near accurate, I'll buy two and sell everything mirrored. My RF lens collection is growing in anticipation of the R1.

Thank you, gentlemen! This morning I took a bit of risk to drive to Arlington National Cemetery before sunrise. It was warned that roads could be icy overnight due to the snow from yesterday and the freezing temperature. The highways were OK by and large. It's crazy to see some people still driving at 70-75 MPH in this type of condition. All it takes is a patch of black ice. The news said some people stuck in the traffic for 22 hours from yesterday.
Anyway, DC/Arlington got about 8"-10" of snow, the Christmas wreaths at the tombstones were pretty much buried in snow, not really visible. Otherwise it would have made terrific images with rows and rows of headstone decorated with Christmas wreaths in snow. The cemetery was not opened until 11:00 AM, by then the good light would have been gone. I took some shots from outside the fence and will post them tonight or tomorrow after I get around to do some processing.
Dan, I live about 10 miles from St. Anthony, my favorite place for sunrise.
Took all these back in late November. Might have to venture out to DFW again very soon, as the weather is so beautiful. A little brisk but not like our neighbors to the north, thankfully!

Thank you, Ray!
Here are some shots from yesterday's trip to Arlington National Cemetery. The snow was so deep and sticky that most of the Christmas wreaths were invisible or barely visible. ANC is always beautiful in snow, so serene and peaceful.
Most of these shots were taken through metal bar fence, the gap between the bars are too narrow to stick the camera through, so there wasn't much choice for desired angles/compositions.
A side note, the Xi virus finally hit our family. My daughter just came back from California last night and she did a quick home test, positive. She is young and healthy so hopefully it won't be too bad. Her rental car in San Francisco was broken into within hours after she rented it, on a busy street at a park. The police don't even take reports anymore. Sad state our country is in.

Douglas, thank you for the ANC virtual winter tour. Wonderful photos! You and your family are in my prayers.
Sorry Douglas, prayers for her quick recovery. Guess she now has a good look at the abject failure liberal democrat policies are....."Let's Go Brandon!"
