All things I am aware of, but don't have a complete handle on yet. Every once in a while my EVF just goes dark, sometimes it flickers. The other day I had to pull the battery to get everything reset, growing pains I guess.

Yep, today was not like last night. Everything was normal...
Yesterday my mate Roel messaged me that some body wanted to sell his unused 5Dmk4 and a new 24-105 IS II
I asked his if i knew that person and i did it was a good friend from the aviation side friends wise.
So I sended him a message if he already had somebody interested in the set, fortunately that wasn't the case
So I payed him and this morning I picked up a brand new never used body and grip and lens for a very good price.
For now it's study time to see what's in the manual

JA, I have had both and while I am not a big "zoom lens" guy, I have only 2. The 24-105II is a super sharp well built zoom lens! I love my 24-70 II and miss the 24-105!
Both should produce you some fine images!
Good job! Look forward to some fine posts!
Hope all is well!

My Hero 10 arrived a couple of days ago and I found a little time this evening to get it charged and configured. This, based on the specs, this camera is a powerhouse. I have to admit to being a bit concerned about the heat it generates, another piece of gear with a ton of technology packed in a little package with little ability to heat sink all that power. Time to put it to work and see how long it runs before it shuts down.
Yes, travel is much different!!! Day 3 of 12 in Germany, so many things have changed. Several of the colleges I am working with, this is their first time in real office in more than a year. Here for a difficult issue, face to face is the only way to make good progress but not yet easy.
Off to a rocky start with the Hero 10, seems it didn't care for the 128gb Sandisk micros card that I installed so it would only record a minute or so at a whack I think I fixed that, now I'm getting a cold battery alert and the displays are shutting off to save power "because the battery is below 0C, which is ridiculous. Of course, GoPro customer service is non-existent, so I'll figure all this out on my own.
The good news is, the quality is incredible, and the stabilization is an order of magnitude better.
Keep us posted on the GoPro Jim. I have been looking at them for my daughter. I have been between the 10 and an older version that would be tried and true.
Well I just wrote a long paragraph on the GoPro Facebook page outlining my Hero 10 experience. I want to love the camera because of it's amazing specs, but they get a 2 on execution. Not that it matters because I have 30 128GB MicroSDX cards, but they didn't bother to include the free 64Gb one that was promised. The camera updated seamlessly and then began to act up. The Hero 10 will only record a few seconds of video, then it gives me an alert that says it's repairing the clip, and it does, then it shuts off. I put a different card in, formatted it, and it does the same thing. I worked on it for an hour last night, fully charged the battery and fired it up, both screens went blank and a message popped up telling me that I had a cold battery warning, battery temp is below 0 C and the screens will shut off to save power. I can only conclude that this one is a lemon, but getting in touch with anyone at GoPro is an impossibility, so I'm just returning it. I'll keep you posted.
