Hey all! I didn't realize it was baseball week at MA2A. My son Dan and I were at Fenway on Monday night. Bit different ballpark from Globe Life Field.
iPhone pano (I brought the 5DIV with a wide lens for panos I haven't stitched yet, wished I brought the 100-400 too but I didn't want to lug it around). That's Dan at far right.

It's nice you were able to include the Bay Bridge in the frame, Patrick! Once I got up and saw the weather wasn't as bad as in the forecast, I decided to try my luck. The only open space I could get to before it was too late is a farm nearby. We drove to Tennessee in 2017 to see the total solar eclipse. It was surreal. Hope to see the total eclipse again in 2024.
Anyway, here is my humble contribution from this morning:

Thanks Douglas. i really like your shots! I guess from your exposures that these were a few minutes after mine which were pretty close to 5:47. The brightness ramped up fast after that.
If I had thought about it more, and been more optimistic about the weather, I might have taken the boat out to try and include more of the bridge.

Just FANTASTIC photography Douglas!!!! Fantastic!!!

Good Morning Douglas! Yes, definitely the Mustang!! Guatemala was one of the last countries to fly Mustangs militarily and then the collectors scoured the countryside for the, crated them up and brought them here for restoration. If that one has a data plate on the airframe, the plate and serial number is worth a couple of hundred thousand. Guys like Nelson Ezell here in Texas can build a Mustang around that data plate.
Some flying subjects from today, while patiently waiting for the airshow this weekend in Ocean City, Maryland... All heavily cropped, even at 600mm. The high resolution of these cameras come in handy.
Well, as the R3 specs become more and more clear I'm not sure that I'm interested. The rumored 30MP sensor, no matter how new and whiz bang, doesn't really entice me. If you own a 1DXIII and an R5, I kind of feel like the bases are covered for now, hardly makes sense to chuck $6,000 at that new body. Maybe I'll just hang on until the R1, or whatever comes around.

Yes, it is looking more like a pro-model 7D II with a full frame sensor, allowing market room for the R7. At the rate Canon is dribbling specs on the R3, The R1 and R3 may come out at the same.
(I am sure Canon's production resources are strained. I went to get some paint for my porch and the Sherwin Williams dealer was so empty of paint it looked like the store was closing. He said they haven't had a sale all year because they have such a low supply of paint.)
Maybe I will rethink getting a second 7D !! as a backup, sell my 100-400 and 300 2.8 to add a used 200-400. After another year Canon may have the new products sorted out and in the stores.
