My supplier just called me to say they have a few of the 24-70/2.8 IS RF-L lenses in and he is holding one back for me just in case. The 24-70 is one of those really useful focal lengths, has always been a really sharp optic and having 6 stops of IS along with IBIS in the R5, well......................

Droolworthy.........................I'll take two please! I got a text today, coincidentally, telling me that this is the real deal.
Ow quick update on the health front, cleared to go to four days of 4 hours work.
And had a visit with the practice nurse she helps the doctor with all important stuff.
Check-up for diabetes blood work and all was good lost about 10 kg in weight and she said another 8 or 9 more would be perfect so that's still in the works.
So little carbs no sugar no chips candy etc so my life is hard and no soda's
But hey you can't have it all.
Can you imagine how sweet that 85mp file is going to be? What a great time to be an image maker! Tells you where memory cards are headed, 85mp@20fps! 🤣

Here's a shot for Thea, there's two more that couldn't find a gap to pop up through.................."Honey, Belle, Raider & Blue.....", Aggie and Delilah not pictured.
Glad The liked that image! They are "Golden Doodles", a result of the girls confusing who should be let out into the backyard and when. Tex their Golden Retriever snuck out and Piper was already out so....................
The plan was to give the puppies to friends, and there are more than enough friends in line for them, but I know my Granddaughters and that was never going to happen. The girls lives now revolve around the six pups, Piper, Tex, three min-cows, four horses, two mini horses (in the process of foaling), two donkeys, seven ducks, six baby chickens, and I'm sure there is a partridge in a pear tree in there somewhere. They love them all and are remarkably responsible. I guess, given their lives over the past year and a half. this has been a good thing for them. I was out at the ranch the other day doing some tractor work and helping them plan the site for a beautiful new barn/paddock project that should start in the next month or so. Never a dull moment!
Off to drone a half dozen projects while the wind has dropped below 45........................

Fantastic looking family Jim!!!!!!
Well I guess I will wait for the R1!!!!!! Was a price "guestamated"?

No Jan-Arie, it is aluminum and is bending like a golf club. The softball is traveling about 55-60 miles per hour and she is swinging the bat around 70-80 miles per hour. You get more reaction with aluminum vs wood. I think this is why Major League Baseball does not allow aluminum bats; the home runs from the aluminum bats would outpace the steroid era. Kind of like an afterburner on aircraft.
I think Canon is on a roll and they know it. My guess is the R1 won't be at the high end of that guesstimate. Whatever it is, I'm in for at least one, two if it's all it appears to be. Does anyone "need" 85mp, I suppose not, my clients are perfectly happy as is, but I shoot for me soooo...................
I remember looping the first Hasselblad transparency, and then the first 4x5 from my Sinar, tough to put a price on that. I have found that I shoot better when I'm holding the best gear I can hold.
