Here are two of the interior shots of the Challenger 601 that I photographed this week.
As I mentioned previously, the owners of the jet, own numerous short line railroads throughout the United States and the carpeting is designed to replicate train tracks.
I think you'd either "love it" or "hate it" in terms of the carpet. I'll let you decide whether you like it or not.
I love the interiors of these passenger jets Jay! So plush! Even the RR tracks are unique!!! After all they were short-line RR's owners. Fits!! I like!!
Nice job!

My third worst ride in an aircraft was in a C-130 A model one March. Flying from Ellington Field (Houston) to Nellis AFB to support our F-16s during Red Flag. Somewhere over north central Texas (Abilene) we had a bird strike through the pilots windscreen. Pilot received cuts from the impact, but he was OK. We couldn't fly pressurized so we had to detour south to El Paso and take the southern, low altitude route to Nellis. We were in that can for over six hours. The heater in the cargo area only heats the front 12-16 feet, and we were dressed for spring. We had all of our support equipment on pallets in the cargo bay so we only had the side canvas seats to sit on. I found our luggage pallet to be more comfortable. I guess I was spoiled flying in C-141As and F-4s.
...but thankful I didn't have to spend 6 hours or more in one of these in WWII...
Just one more story amongst what is surely hundreds of thousands of stories that you men and women endured on behalf of the (spoiled rotten and oblivious) American citizen. Thank you Ray and all of your brothers and sisters in uniform, and I apologize for what we have done and are about to do to you all....................it's unconscionable.
I have been very happy there was a change in attitude toward the military not long after 1981. Some of these guys have spent their entire career at war and many tours of duty to the Middle East. I think if our last President had been reelected he would have ended all of our wars. One reason he called the senior staff at the Pentagon "a bunch of crying babies" was they didn't want to end the fighting. Sad, our military deserves better from the senior staff. You know, it is hard to award medals to senior officers when they can't command a group in battle, so they want to battle on.

I LOVE these olde monsters Ray!!! I have nothing but fond memories being airborne! Now repelling out of a helo? Or extraction on a McGuire rig??..My "six" still has scars! !!! Lots of stories, good and bad but enjoyable nonetheless!!! At least to those who understand!!!!!!!
Thanks!

Seeing this true monster Ray, I still get chills!!! You heard it/them coming miles before you heard the whistle of the "payload" falling!!! Didn't see them much through the jungle canopy but boy were they a welcome sound!!!
Wonderful image brother!!

I could NOT agree more Jim!!!! "Bar tales" as we called them! And sang "Olde Blue" to the fallen! We fought and many died to give the cry babies their say...But we were/are expendable..they are not or so they think!
Thanks Jim..hug "Master III" for me please!! "old Blue was a good dog..and you are a good dog too!"

I encouraged the DC NG soldiers to spend the time watching the documentary on the Marines and Army Soldiers in the Battle at and from the Chosin Resevoir, suggesting they might want to rethink "boo hoo'ing" about having to sleep in the parking garage. Cut me a f*****g break, "pansies"
Now, however, that our military will be "home" to the transgender'd community, I recall a Soldier I met while in ROK in 2014 for brief stint at the euphemistically labeled "behavioral health clinic." !55mm mobile battery commander said, when I asked him what the effect would be of that decision made a series of comments that I cannot repeat here, other than to say "how'd you like to see morale go down the shitter." Well, we'll see it now, and I don't think I'll like it.
I'd would have died( and my men) for a place to "stand down" like they had despite the crappines of their "beds".
I think it may have been more a "lame stream media" photo op brother! But it does show very poor command level decisions.
S/F!

My Uncle was at Chosin brother!! One of the last of the "true horse cavalry soldiers".
Interesting camera and I'm sure the files are beautiful. I don't think I have any interest in adding another brand/platform at this point, especially with Canon's promising releases in 20121. Fun to look at though!

I don't know Jim. I'm not sure that basing the decision on Canon's promised releases 18,000 (plus) years into the future is a really sound idea.
