And so comfortably appointed I have a buddy that flew it and he tells of watching threads on his flight suit begin to glow and then disappear in a puff of smoke while screaming along at high altitude. Guess that, like so much of what you all endured for the cause of freedom, is a mind over matter kind of thing.

So true brother! Sometimes thinking about the situation was NOT an option! Adrenaline and training kick in instantly!

The monument is the San Jacinto Monument. It honors Sam Houston's defeat of Santa Anna to establish Texas independence from Mexico. It is almost 13' taller than the Washington Monument, you know how we Texans are!
It is located in Deer Park, TX close to the site of the San Jacinto battle.
I'm surprised they haven't tried to tear that monument down too Ray......................Oh yeah, it's in The Lone Star and we don't just stand with our hands in our pockets when that stuff begins to go down.

You put on your work gloves and help?
Good for Texas for getting rid of these symbols of hate. They can start on the Trump 2020 flags next...
You Sir, are an idiot. But thanks for weighing in and removing all doubt! If the state decides to remove something and goes through channels, that's one thing (still dumb to try to erase history), I was referring to members of your party that like to do it in an impromptu fashion. You'll notice that there isn't a lot of that here in Texas.
Canon just released a Firmware update for the R5 that supposedly lessens that panning challenge that I am dealing with. I'm downloading it as we speak. Between revolutionary camera releases and rapid firmware updates to address issues I'm pretty impressed with them at the moment.
They have also eluded to the R5 sequel being released before the Tokyo Olympics and that it will be double the resolution of the R5. Everyone is guessing that the sequel will not be revolutionary in the video department, but that's ok, 100MP capture with nothing else would be plenty fine with me.

Ouch. Come on, Jim. Unless there is something else that has transpired via PM, that was uncalled for. You're better than that, we're all better than that.
And J Mosher, we don't need your antagonistic posts either.
I come here to get away from this kind of crap, but that seems to be getting harder to do even here. Republicans and Democrats both have their share of nut jobs, they just go about their business in different ways. Did I vote for Trump? No. Does that mean I want to de-fund the police. Hell no. I love this country as much as anyone, and I voted the way I did because I honestly felt that four more years like the last four would be hugely damaging to the Republic. Are the next four years going to be great? Am I going to agree with everything? Nope.
But if we can't avoid the bitterness and name calling even here, then frankly I don't hold out much hope for the future.
Sorry, this is out of character for me, I usually keep my mouth shut. And I can't express myself as eloquently as some. But I was truly saddened.
You did well, Mark. I had to go sleep on it, too. I was told during debate instructions that the idea of a debate is to debate the idea, not attack the other person. It doesn't add to any learning to sling derogatory terms at each other..

I fell in love with this "fire breathing dragon" when I first saw it! The Maryland Natl Guard has a squadron of A10's near me. Such a fearsome aircraft and "walks-the-walk" with its firepower and "tough skin"!
Well done my brother!!!!
Fairchild Aircraft had a huge presence here in Maryland way back then. They made a great aircraft.

NOW to the issue of the above difference in and of the present day issues@attitudes.
I respect both points of view here. I live in an area where the mentality of Jim's concern is "right on" and lived most every day! I am 100% about it!
I am afraid my language would have been a tad more gutter than Jim's. Present personalties left out.
History has been and is being sanitized here. Regardless of pros or cons.
Although the "cons" escape me!
And I can post my reasons that ally with 1 way or another but I won't. It takes up too much of Fred's space.
Mark and "JM" your points are indeed vaild and lend a far more moderate, non escalation of violence to make a point! And I made your "PM remark" part of a similiar response to a similiar difference of ideas way back.
Let's not let this become a reason to start a "firestorm" on this Forum. I doubt it will come to than though! We know where each person stands lets respect that and get back to photos.
Everyone enjoy the rest of the weekend!
