Not to worry, I've been called SIR so many times, both on the phone AND to my face... it never bothers me. It has come in handy a few times.
and double OOPS.... snagged by TOPP (before Anwar returns)
From 2016, prop blur on the model, manual focus lens
When someone calls me SIR "NOC", I say 1 of 2 things...1st..."SIR was my father may he RIP" or 2nd...I was a NCO and worked for a living!"
But I do appreciate the courtesy.....I need NO reminders I am an olde fart!!!
Thanks!
Dan
PS..."SPOOKY" the rain of death. This lone plane saved my six more than I can count. The Russian Hind gunship scares the hell out of me just looking at it and firepower "Spooky" was equally deadly in its quiet, stealthy mode.!!
Jim if someone doubts the authenticity or fairness in your pricing, then that is their loss!! Glad it was fast and seamless. Whoever bought your lens, got a great deal in many ways!!
Glad you are back to "normal"...prayers work!!
Dan
Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers Dan. Met with two of my four cardiologists this morning and feel much better about all of this. They cleared me back into the air with no reservations. Funny, my main Cardiologist looked at me and said, "we are so pleased that this was the outcome of this event, I don't know if you have any idea how grave your condition was when you walked into the ER........." He said, "Were you aware that 9 people converged on your gurney with a crash cart in a matter of a minute or two......?" "That ought to tell you just how serious the situation was..."
I am experiencing just a little "ptsd" from it all I think, just a little anxiety wells up every once in a while and it occurs to me that my story could well have had it's last chapter written, sobering, especially for a guy who cherishes denial........
I posted the Sony 16-35 today and it sold in less than 5 minutes. Buy and Sell is a wonderful feature on this great forum, I'm grateful to Fred fo this foresight. You're right, the two gentleman who bought these lenses got pretty sweet deals. Kind of regret never having shot with them, they are supposed to be wonderful lenses.
Figured the first way was the way it was, but then again, some countries have odd censorship too. Glad I could come up with an assist so you could see the whole thing

I know Rodolfo took over the family business, and that's the last I heard. It was keeping him busy. There was a bit of a dustup here a few years ago, too, differences of opinions, things got said...

Similar to my situation back in 2017. Just felt like crap all the time, couldn't sleep so finally go to the doctor (well, actually, Nan dragged me to the doctor). Doctor takes my pulse and turns to Nan; "Are you taking him to ER or shall I call an ambulance?"
The ER doctor said I probably had a day, max, to go...
With all this cardiac discussion recently, maybe someone who has been hanging out with the heart guys (Jim) knows whether this info (that turned up on a FB page) is correct:
From a surgical nurse and certified CPR teacher:
1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.
3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.
4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.
5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
