Just in case any of you folks are in the market for a Tucano - there is anouther (final?) batch of ex UK MOD ‘frames headed for the USA. My limited understanding is that there are plenty for sale already, so prices should be very soft IMHO.
"Earlier this week, 53-year-old Woodrow Taylor, an inmate at Elkton Prison near Youngstown, died from a suspected case of coronavirus. Three other inmates at the prison tested positive for COVID-19.
The viral spread of coronavirus in a prison system could be disastrous, health officials have warned, citing cleanliness and the proximity of inmates in such systems. "

While I completely agree with whatever needs to be done, does anyone wonder why the left is releasing hardened criminals from jail because of this, then arresting average citizens? Just add it to the list of oxymorons, and just plain morons that surround us daily.
And Laredo is fining anyone over the age of FIVE to the tune of $1,000 for not wearing a mask in public.

Right you are Erich. I tossed and turned last night trying to reason this Laredo assignment out. A little more research this morning and a call to the City of Laredo cleared up any doubt I might have had. The City was very nice, but told me that photography is not an essential service and Laredo officers have been instructed to levy $1,000 fines and arrest anyone who cannot document that they are on an essential mission. I don't want to be in a Laredo jail on a good day.............

I wonder if they release the infected prisoners, where do they go without infecting good folks outside of the prison?

It's easy to get goosebumps when seeing some of the churches in Europe. I have yet to get the same feeling anywhere here at home in the US. This is St Peter and Paul Muenster in Obermarchtal, Germany.

Unfortunately all my cathedral photos are slides - I need to start scanning.
I will always remember the awe I felt when first walking into places like Westminster Abbey, Salisbury Cathedral, and Canterbury Cathedral. I guess the latter two are not particularly ornate, it was the history that grabbed me.
Hi Erich, yes, we were going to shoot his Tucano, his Phenom 300 and his restored Tri-Motor but we just haven't gotten it together. He sold the Tucano after an unfortunate gear up incident. That batch of Tucanos were basically hand made so finding parts for them is a real chore, most of them have to be custom made.

Ah… the parts situation explained a lot. The (considerable) expense of the parts is one thing, but then add the wait time for hand fabrication. Well, suddenly your nice shiny recreational aeroplane ends up as a hanger queen. Not good.
Probably to their home, or maybe a group home. Staff at these facilities are also at high risk too, possibly bringing it home to their spouse and kids...

I hope you all are safe and doing well in these troubling times. Since travel is restricted, I want you all the take a virtual trip with me to Detroit's island Getaway, Belle Isle.
Come along and see what Belle Isle means to me, see a few of my project from there, along how I use it as my photographic classroom.
Oh Boy, technology is so much fun! As I mentioned, I trashed my QNAP 16 Bay set up and am recreating it on OWC 8 Bay Thunderbay RAID units. Spent all weekend trying to copy folders from one RAID to another but kept encountering a strange problem. My data would begin to copy and might transfer for a couple of minutes, to several hours, but at some point the drives would go quiet and the transfer would cease. I tried and tried but the same thing happened. This morning I called OWC and their tech people told me that they were aware of the problem, which began with a Catalina update that took place on Friday. So, it's a Softraid/Catalina incompatibility and OWC is working diligently on it, but they could not tell me whether Apple is doing the same. The tech people at OWC and I came up with a work around, albeit tedious (but what the heck, I got nuthin' but time!), it seems that you can transfer files of 30GB and under without the problem kicking in. So far, that seems to be working. I love being on the cutting edge.............................
OWC's tech people are wonderful, real people who aren't in Mumbai and don't ask you to "reboot your machine........." every 30 seconds. They work the problem with you and are extremely knowledgeable. Good news, if there is any, I have not updated my MacBook Pro to the latest version of Catalina, so I can hook the the 8 Bay arrays up to the MBP and back files up that way until everyone gets their act together. Roseanna Roseanna Danna was correct........"It's always something............!"
