Anyone tried these kinds of effects in Affinity Photo yet? I've cancelled all Adobe subscriptions, so I'm back to Photoshop CS6 and the perpetual Lightroom Classic. I really like Affinity Designer instead of Illustrator so far, but haven't done much in Photo yet.

Interesting!
I do not remember who recommended (here) ON1 two years ago, I have used 2019, and now 2020, I am enjoying it.
I had an annual physical scheduled for this week, fortunately I took my flight physical a week ago because all the AME's have headed for sheltering in place. Lot's of pilots are not going to be getting renewals anytime soon. I called my Doc just to tell him that I really had little to no interest in spending anytime in his office. He quickly agreed and said, "Neither do I....." He is doing "Tele Appointments", which basically means he can charge for an office visit without the downside. I told him that we have 9 Grandchildren that are sheltering in place and Sheila and I are as well, so can we ge together with them at one of our homes if we don't stop in between? He didn't skip a beat and said absolutely not a good idea for anyone involved, not only that he cautioned against drive through restaurant patronage and even delivery. He said the virus can live for up to three days on cardboard and paper bags and people should be thinking of the number of hands that are involved in drive through and delivery situations.
So, based on that, and the fact that the kids have friends calling them constantly to go play basketball or go to the park, I think we are kidding ourselves thinking this is going to be behind us in 14 days. I'm not usually a guy with a bleak outlook, but I'm thinking that we can't imagine the carnage that's staring us in the face over the next month and beyond, health wise and financially. Collin County, where we live is probably going to announce shelter in place tomorrow morning which will pretty much shut down any work that isn't health or food supply chain related. Interesting times for sure.
I think your doc got confused. The virus probably can live on plastic/metal up to 3 days; cardboard up to 24 hours. This study was done by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Montana. Since then, other studies seem to indicate that these numbers are VERY generous and it is probably a much shorter time.
Lots of misinformation out there.
Here is some good info by one of the guys who has been studying the coronavirus family since 1970.
PS Those studies were done at 70*F; at higher temps, the virus survival time is only a fraction of the above. Higher humidity also decreases the viral survival time on surfaces.
And those studies were done in "ideal lab conditions" and they don't mention how many of the viruses they were counting as survived, and what the (insert technical name for the level of virus necessary to actually cause infection, can't think of it at the moment)
Ill hope that it will get to a good end.
Most of the Dutch people are bit stubborn to say the least.
I'm unfortunately not in very good shape the last couple of weeks.
No viruses but some Physical discomforts.
If all goes to plan I will have my driver physical examination tomorrow,so I can renew my drivers license for driving the big trucks, witch expires in a couple of weeks. If ok then I will be good for another five years...
Great video of the P51 Jim. My favorite of any/all planes, jets or props! Next time the air show is in town, I will pay the money for a "back-seater" in 1 fitted for 2 seats.

I hear you Jim. This thing is going to change our lives in all sorts of ways – and not just temporarily. Maybe some of the changes will be for the better. The Wilson clan has vulnerable folks at both ends of the age spectrum so I think your doc gave sound advise.
Much to our astonishment, Thea and I recently discovered that we are now officially classified as “old”. How on earth did that happen ?
As for 14 days …… well, if you offered me 14 weeks I’d take that with both hands and be very thankful.

Sorry to hear you’ve not been well Jan-Arie. Get well soon and good luck with the medical.

Sheila and I just said the same thing.........."elderly..........?" I beg your pardon...... Oh well, my crystal ball has been inop for quite some time so the default is to place in The Lord's Hands (along with everything else) and wait for further instructions.
Based upon my knowledge of the photographic industry, 90 days without income will knock out about 75% of the competition so it will be a very different picture in a short time. "WeeeBeeeSeee"
