The aviation insurance market is going to be causing some significant adjustments amongst aviators across the board. I've been hearing tales of rates rising from 15% to double, depending upon what the adjusters see as risk. Older pilots, Basic Med, aerobatic aircraft, low time turbo prop owners, conventional gear are all in the categories they are looking to cancel or raise rates in. The Warbird ride business is something they have zero interest in underwriting so they'll either non-renew or raise rates to the point the owners cease the activity.
It's that time of year! What time of year, slow shutter practice time. This is how I practice my panning with slow shutter speeds. The tractor is planting corn, so he is traveling at walking speed. Fun practice time.
I'm rigging my Ronin S for an upcoming assignment, just another reason I don't need to visit the gym............
Thinking about dedicating a Ninja V to this unit just to reduce weight and general bulk. I still have to attach a mic, the Inferno battery and an HDMI cable. The perfect answer for this set up is probably going to be the Canon R5 mirrorless, but the 1DX MKIII is workable until the 5 is released.
Feeling quite melancholic today, haven't been able to fly for over 8 weeks, feeling that I'm never going to master the hold off on landing.
On a positive note I passed the Air Law and Operational Procedures exams today, and I'm pleased with how this shot turned out, which seems to suit my reflective mood
