Thank you Joe! She was born a few minutes ago and it's driving me crazy not being there to capture her this afternoon. Our job is to wrangle the others for the time being. She's a day early which works just fine because her Papa has a jet to shoot late this week. James and I spent the morning exploring on the John Deere so he is napping at the moment. It's tropical here right now with possible snow/sleet/whatever forecast for tomorrow morning.
That is so cool Jim! #9 and counting, must be a great feeling. Hope that Mom and #9 are doing well and looks like you will have a truly blessed Christmas Season.
Thanks Guys, hard to imagine that we are Grandparents of nine, certainly the best "job" I've ever been blessed with. Mom and baby are doing fine, in contrast to Mom and James III who, if they hadn't been in the hospital, would not have made it. Mom's pregnancies are high risk.
Thank you all! Yes Laura, same basic challenges with this baby but she was monitored a lot closer and the delivery went relatively smoothly The baby is in the NICU working through the breathing thing that C Section deliveries cause, but she's fine.
Just got notification from Apple that the new Mac Pro Tower is available, so I went to the website and configured a dream machine..................$52,000 Bottom of the barrel basic version..........$14,000. Guess the iMac Pro isn't looking too bad comparatively

Sorry that I missed your call today, still running in full afterburner. Mother and baby are home as of an hour ago and, theoretically, Sheila and I should be slowing down a bit. Yesterday, amidst watching James and Tatum, ducking up to the hospital for a quick photo op, I finished editing 1800 still images for a project that was due. No complaints but James is glued to me from the minute he walks in the door, so everything I do from that point on is with him in one arm or closely in trail.Like I said, no complaints, but it does slow my pace just a smidge. This has been a tough week for him with his Mom being gone and all, and he has no idea that there is someone new that will be sharing the keys to the kingdom from this point on so, all in all it's been a life changing few days for him. We have a routine when he comes over and he's a creature of habit so he goes to the patio door and calls me. We start with emptying the pool skimmers, then the pump skimmer, then he collects a few pine cones. We then have to check the level of all the bird feeders, double check that the Christmas Snoopy Biplane is running smoothly in the front yard, at which point he makes a bee line for the tractor and we head out for a ride together, by then lunch and nap time is fast approaching so I am able to get a little something done between 12:30 and 3:00. I haven't been doing a lot of work from HQ lately, but I need to update my RAID units there so I have a place to disappear to when work is mandatory. If I am at home when he arrives I have neither the self discipline, nor the desire to lead him so I need to be gone before he arrives if I have tasks that have to be accomplished. Hopefully there will always be work waiting, but that window where they run to you with arms open wide wanting to wrap themselves in your arms, well, one wouldn't want to miss a moment of that.
We are overdue for a call, I'll be back to you when the smoke clears. Thanks for thinking of me!
Over the past month I've been working on a Fort Worth Alliance 2019 highlight film, finished it up late last night after everyone was sound asleep. There are numerous things I want to do differently, better, going forward, but I'm pretty pleased with the end product. My good friend, whose air show it is, had a one word response this morning, "Outstanding!", so I guess I'm on the right track Mike B. liked it as well so given those two valued opinions, I'm going to stick with it for awhile more and see what happens.
Thanks Zane! Both the YAK and Kevin Coleman saw us down there and began flying for the camera. After Kevin's first pass I had Chandler move east a couple of hundred feet behind the F/35 Demo Team, just a bit too close to be comfortable with. I still have nightmares over Glenn's friend Andrew. Chandler stood with me on the runway centerline as he flew over Glenn in the Cobra inverted and rolled upright, a dozen times. A few months later he started one simple roll and the whole tail section just peeled right off, it would have been even more unthinkable than it was. That popped into my head when Kevin made his first pass for the camera. I do wish Chandler had shot it from his perspective though, must have looked pretty incredible.........
