Still on the Raptor theme - I shot this one trying out the Olympus OMD EM1 Mark II and 300 f/4. It did not quite deliver in terms of AF and noise levels for me, at least.
Regarding the Raptor, can anyone tell me what the small appendage is on the underside center of the fuselage? You can see it clearly in FotoBuf78's shot above.
Thanks Jeremy. I suspected it was there for that kind of purpose.
By the way I love the shot of the F-22 in the hangar. It brings you back to the real purpose of the aircraft with a figurative thud.
Last two from me today - first a Raptor tail in B&W and second, from Omaka Classic Fighters.
Preparing to head off to 'Wings over Illawarra' this weekend and looking forward to seeing the FW-190, Neptune, CAC Mustang, CAC Sabre, BAC Jet Provost and Boeing Stearman.
Down in Texas for a few days before heading to an Airshow in Louisiana this weekend. Stopped off at the Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, and then over to the Fort Worth Water Gardens. Dropped my D810 on the pavement, so ended up having to shoot the water gardens with the D500, which wasn't exactly in the plan.
