(...and Corsairs and Catalinas and Ansons and Warhawks and Harvards and...)
Turns out the iPhone 7 Plus makes a decent video camera, for those of us who do video only casually. About 90% of this video is cut from hand-held iPhone footage.
Great video Steve, about as pretty a backdrop for a airshow as one could get.
Cool Dan. I'll look for you if I get there, I'll probably not be hard to spot

The Redline guys fly a great performance. I usually see them in Waynesville and sure they will do great at Dayton. the F-35 will be a first for me as well. I will be there for sure.
Steve.Z. Loved your Omaka video - it captured the feel of the weekend really well. Blenheim is a friendly, laid back and beautiful part of the world. The light is perfect. And the wider angle of your iPhone footage places the action in that context nicely.
Here is one from the Avalon International Airshow 2017 (Australia) - one of the RAAF's C-17 Globemaster's on the ramp.
As I'm always nurturing my photographic passion, trying new and different techniques. This is I think my 5th or 6th Planes of Fame show and the past few years I took up some type of personal challenge. This year I'm coming up with nothing. You guys got any ideas to help rekindle my flame.

Let me add my own welcome to you, Steve; and thanks for the kind words on my video. After three trips to Wanaka I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to do Omaka Classic Fighters, though we've loved visiting Blenheim before in the off years.
Here's a shot of an American Airlines B-787 coming into DFW this past Sunday, using one of the crosswind/diagonal runways. We had such strong winds, only two runways were being used for both landings and departures.
What a nightmare for all the air traffic controllers!
