I'm doing some research into creating VR footage that's compatible with Occulus goggles or something similar. Apparently that is different than run of the mill 360 clips.
Wings Over North Georgia is a very nice show. Better than one might expect of a city of 36,000 seventy-some-odd miles NW of Atlanta. All the big names/teams have put in an appearance. If you're within striking distance, it is worth the time. And photo passes are available. (Photo from a couple of years ago.)
ISNAP gets better every issue thanks to the efforts of Chairman Larry Grace and photographer/graphic designer extraordinaire Kevin Hong.
What can I say that is a lot of great photo's cool to see the student's results also some really good photo's.
So you can see even when the weather is pants there is still something to gain..
Last night I found myself under the iconic "Friday Night Lights", shooting a good friend's grandson playing his last high school football game. Bud, my Buddy passed away a number of years ago after a valiant battle with Lymphoma brought on by the eventual side effect of anti rejection drugs used in a kidney transplant. Sheila and I have remained close with Bud's wife, children and grandchildren. Bud was an exceptional man with a deep faith and love of Christ that never wavered, even in his darkest days. His family, to the member, carry on in that tradition.
I broke tradition and pulled out a 1DXII with the 200-400 so I'd have the buffer speed to capture all of the action. Fortunately this isn't Bud's grandson, think it's my version of "the agony of defeat".................

Are they in pain those on the ground looks like it...
Hi Jan Arie,
Fortunately I think they were fine. #9 on the ground almost intercepted but couldn't hold on to it and the opposing players had a little give up going on because it was intended for one of them. Everyone got up and walked away. Crazy game if you ask me, but I'm obviously in the minority. Just glad none of the boys ended up playing. Just about everyone I know that played when we were in school have numerous maladies, knee replacements, can't remember their own name...........etc. Glad I swam !
Greetings all, and let us take a two-minute silence to remember the fallen on Remembrance Day.

I was at Kingsbury yesterday for the fly-in. Not much aerial action due to a mostly waterlogged runway, but they did manage to put this in the air - behold the third flight of this Dormoy Bathtub:
Trolling the archives -- I remember this one very clearly. Even though this was shot at 750mm, he was WAAAAY left of the CL and we were getting a bit nervous. The focal length & my uneasiness account for the lack of sharpness My buddy & I looked at each other and wondered, "Uhh, where is he planning to put that thing?"
Then he lowered his gear and drifted further off CL, and we wondered, "Where the **** IS he planning to put that thing?" Well, neither we nor anyone else died. But. I'd like to think someone from the field (or the FAA) had a chat.
