Can't resist posting a non-aviation postcard shot: NZ's South Island offers one stunning vista after another, plus really interesting and changeable weather patterns.
Quick commercial announcement, folks... as part of my cleanup tasks I need to get rid of some gear that isn't getting much use. I'll be posting all of this to the B&S forum as soon as I can (which may be a few weeks) but as always, advance notice and preferred pricing for friends and MATA.
- Nikon 24/3.5 PC-E
- Nikon 70-200/2.8 G
- Nikon 80-400 G
- Nikon 500/4 G
I don't know prices yet... feel free to make offers or discuss. As most know around here, my gear is unfortunately not used very often, so it tends to be in very good shape.
That V1 and an FT1 make a pretty good 2.7 TC for your 500/4, which would pulls some pretty good moon shots

It's been a busy week for me and God has blessed me so much. So thankful for His Blessings!
Flew to Denver on Monday and photographed a G-450 on Tuesday, a G-550 on Wednesday, then flew down to San Antonio that evening and photographed a Citation XLS on Thursday.
Here is a shot of the G-450. These were unusual Gulfstreams as both models had the galley up front and I'd say about 90% of every Gulfstream I've been on, has the galley in the back.
Mt Hutt, at the edge of the Southern Alps, bathed in the light of the full Moon, with Orion presiding (he's upside down, for those of us who happened to grow up in the Northern Hemisphere). They've got some good air down there in NZ, you betcha.
This is a single, 15 sec exposure, made with the ZS100 mounted on a tabletop tripod.
