So, a question for those kind enough to offer a view. In the context of a set subject - “Night Photography” do you like the Colour, the B&W, or neither? Thanks!
Let me know what days so I can see if I can get at least a couple of those days off.

Got a call today that my Ronin S had come in and that it's in a plain brown wrapper at a secret location. Apparently they are a bit like hen's teeth at the moment, but my supplier got me one. Just in the nick of time because I have a four day shoot in Miamisburg and Kettering Ohio that it will come in handy for, and The Professional Bull Riding Championships the two days before I fly to Ohio. Better get it and get up to speed in a hurry.
Folks, a big THANK YOU for your kind and considered response to my question. For those who don’t have the luxury of being able to read here every day – please feel free to respond if you wish – I value and appreciate the time and effort we all put into this place.
That image has taught me at least two valuable lessons. First, get to a photo location early and give yourself plenty of time. That frame is the first of many I took that morning, and is easily the best, but setting up a half hour earlier would have been much better. Second, don’t delete anything. I took that picture six years ago and only recently have I developed the skills and technique to produce what I had in my mind’s eye.
This image is a re-visit of one taken a couple of years ago and, as Nick recently noted, our skills, knowledge, abilities (and post-processing software capabilities) change over time. This reworked image represents my current workflow and, while a comparison of the old and the new don't look like radical changes have been made, I think the new version is noticeably better. Not going to post a before-and-after, but would appreciate any views on the image. The objective of the new workflow is to render the tones and overall detail at a level, as close as I can get, to what my Mark I eyeball saw when I pushed the button.

As much as I would love t to see you and catch up, this is looking more and more like a fly in, marathon shoot right up to the grand opening gala on Tuesday, run to the airport and catch a flight. I'm awaiting a more detailed update so if that changes I'll let you know.
Just got home with my Ronin S and have it charging. As I was headed out the door, one of the guys behind the counter quipped, "you should put that on eBay and double your money........." . I looked over my shoulder and said, "Or, I could put it to work tomorrow and have it do that and more every single day I use it......" Apparently they are getting a dozen calls a day from around the country from folks trying to find an "S" in stock.
I've learned to be skeptical about DJI products but we'll see.

Another blast from the past that I’ve only just managed to sort out. Again, in the context of “Night Photography”, taken at Lumiere Durham some years ago.
Congrats on the use of your work. Always nice when our images get wider exposure.
And the history of the bar was fascinating. Also nice to see something wonderful snatched away from the wrecking ball.
To all those who commented on the SBD image, thank you. I thought the new workflow gave a better sense of depth and realism to the image, but, I'm prejudiced. Thanks again for your comments.
Haven't had time to get on here lately with all the photo projects I've been working on. This week I photographed this Falcon 2000 that was originally owned by the Ferrari Corporation in Italy. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
We were able to spend a few minutes this morning admiring Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper". Handheld, with very little time and only my 28-300 available, I set out to make sure I'd have a usable image within the constraints of very dim lighting and a max aperture of f/4.5. So I shot several bursts: 1/10 @ ISO1600, 1/20 @ ISO3200, and 1/40 @ ISO6400.
Now I have to find the best of each group, and compare those three to see whether noise or motion blur is the lesser of two evils in this case. Here's the best of my 1/10 group:
