Just saw the video J-A, looks eerily like one I watched in Carbondale Illinois. The aircraft belonged to The University of Illinois/Carbondale, the crew forgot to remove the aileron gust locks during preflight. The aircraft got airborne and they realized that they had no aileron authority, it just rolled off on a wing, no survivors.

After days of digging out 10' tall holly bushes it dawned on me that a Landcruiser and a length of logging chain might do the job. Wish I had devised that system a little earlier because the stumps and roots pop out like they were in sand, instead of days of digging, sawing, and digging some more.
The pool renovation turned out nice, I didn't have to lift a finger, except to throw money at it............
Farnborough was a real disappointment this year - a shadow of its former glory. I spent a couple of days outside - one at the end of the runway, a restricted area that had to be reached via a two hour boat trip down a canal to an area sealed off so that once we were in, we were in to stay until the end of the flying. This is the Red Bull DC6
Well JR and Chandler made a last minute decision to bolt to OSH yesterday. I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't be with Chandler on his first trip there, but I didn't want to deny him the experience. I promised him that we would plan and book OSH 2019 as soon as he gets home. Next year we'll go for most if not all of the week and he'll have the whole experience. JR closed a substantial deal a couple of days ago so I would imagine he's trying to find a Christen Eagle to bring home to HQ.
Got a call today that my Ronin S had come in and that it's in a plain brown wrapper at a secret location. Apparently they are a bit like hen's teeth at the moment, but my supplier got me one. Just in the nick of time because I have a four day shoot in Miamisburg and Kettering Ohio that it will come in handy for, and The Professional Bull Riding Championships the two days before I fly to Ohio. Better get it and get up to speed in a hurry.
So, a question for those kind enough to offer a view. In the context of a set subject - “Night Photography” do you like the Colour, the B&W, or neither? Thanks!

I'm with everyone who voted for color -- which I think was everyone. A black-and-white image simply cannot communicate the color transitions of a dying day with the same poignancy. There are other situations where monochrome can be even more expressive than color, but this is not one of them.
