Yes, I had a stumble going from grass to sidewalk, first point of impact was the right corner of my right eyebrow, giving me a nice shiner and a puddle of blood on the grass, and evidently second impact was my right shoulder which has a nice bruise on it. Swelling around the eye has gone down considerably. New glasses frame is on order, using a loaner in the meantime, would not be able to drive without glasses for sure.
Hoping you and Rodolfo get to meet up.
Darn it, I didn't get a shot of the outside of the church, either. And yes, there was a lower church as well.
Sorry Laura, I completely missed that you had a fall. Look, we like you just fine as you are – no need to rearrange anything. So feel free to quit throwing yourself at the scenery at your earliest convenience!
Nick, it was quite the shiner when new, it was a Friday the 13th present. I'm thinking I could be a model in the old Tareyton cigarette commercials...
Trust me, I'm too old to bounce anymore.

Hi J-A, thanks for the comment, and for all the RIAT stuff! Yes, on that picture I messed up. White point was set to 253, black point set to 8. I’m going to have to go back to using curves that give cut off’s at those values, but without the shallower contrast slope that gives that slightly “muddy” look.
I was wrapping up a two day assignment out by DFW yesterday and had several hours to kill while I waited for sunset. The temps were only 110 so it made perfect sense to go hang out around the big airport and see if I could put a new twist on a familiar locale. Didn't have my FS/7 and the rest of my cinema gear with me, but hits "B Roll" test tells me that in the right light, with the right equipment, this location could provide a pretty cool clip.
Good morning Jim.
Mmm only a 110 thats 43 degrees in my scale, over here it's already hot for weeks now I think almost 10 weeks that pretty rare in our neighbourhood coming week it will hit 95 and of course i start work on Monday hoping for a cool breeze in October but we desperately need some rain as everything is bone dry and already in fall mode so I think one big storm and all the trees lose their leaves...
I spent the last month's "free time" ripping out 21 year old landscape and redesigning most of the green space around our home and pool. a hundred 3 cubic yard bags of landscaper's mix tilled into the beds, and couple of days at the business end of an 8hp Honda tiller has all the spaces ready for new plants. I pretty much had the poolscape finished when this heat hit, up to that point it was the typical 98-101. Now it's all I can do to try to keep the stuff I've planted alive so I'm going to hold off on anything else until fall.
October should be beautiful, and fun! Looking forward to it!!
After days of digging out 10' tall holly bushes it dawned on me that a Landcruiser and a length of logging chain might do the job. Wish I had devised that system a little earlier because the stumps and roots pop out like they were in sand, instead of days of digging, sawing, and digging some more.
The pool renovation turned out nice, I didn't have to lift a finger, except to throw money at it............
That's a lot of landscapers mix indeed, Yes if you can water the plants a night then they will be all right I think if not in direct sunlight probably..
But the end result will give you both something to look at and enjoy for times to come..
Ow look at that Pool that looks sharp indeed..
The last Swansong of the mighty Tornado only a short time left before it's gets replaced by the F35,Tornado a mighty fighter bomber and defender of British and foreign sky's
Thanks Nick! Weebeesee! I'm sure that eventually I'll end up with one of the new iMacs as well because it seems the video end of my work is growing by leaps and bounds.
I'm thinking that there's something really cool to be captured here with a little planning. Here's that clip of "B Roll" remastered to 120fps.........
Wonder if I could orchestrate this with The BA 747 as the subject? That would be cool! Wonder who I might be able to call to get me positioned at the EOR................................hmmmmmmm? Can you see it? EOR perspective, the iconic BA 74 rolling and rotating at 180fps in 2K?
People if you are going to fly yourselfs please be safe and double check every thing
