I finally had the chance to watch the National Geographic special Living in the Age of Airplanes. While it wasn't quite what I expected, it has some incredibly beautiful aerial photography. I'd definitely recommend watching it.

"Found" Kermit Weeks YT channel a couple months ago and I found these videos of a walk around (& some crawling thru) of the Philippine Mars worthy of a link. It will take an hour to watch all three.
I think there may be plans in the works to move this aircraft to the Glenn L Martin Museum in Maryland. I just hope if that happens they will take care of it, as there are already a few aircraft there that seem to be rotting away out in the open.
Here in the UK we have an act on the air show circuit, that displays 60% (approx.) replicas of WWI combat aircraft. They fly a tail chase display with seven or more aircraft. It's very carefully done - no aeros, no high energy stuff.
If they make it airworthy to fly over there... I will move heaven and earth to be there for departure
Wow! I had seen they were transferring Shoo Shoo Baby to make room for Memphis Belle, and I was planning to ask you how that was going to happen. Never thought they would make her airworthy for one more flight. I think it's great, but I assumed they would take her apart and truck her.
WOW! This is going to be a dream come true! One of the reasons I didn’t go RED with my cinema gear was the fact that the initial investment was going to be over 100K, leaving little for redundancy. I couldn’t live with minimal redundancy so I went with my Sony gear. I’m very happy with Sony, but if this materialized in the next 12-24 months, I’d be all over it!
I don't know how the transportation is going to be right now, just saying if they DO fly it out of here, I will be there to see it. And, we'll have two B-17s here afterwards, Swoose and Memphis Belle. Then again, if they brought in the Guppy to transport Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby in pieces, that's also worth seeing in the air!

Fossum calls his new technology QIS, for Quanta Image Sensor. Instead of pixels, QIS chips have what Fossum and his colleagues call "jots." Each jot can detect a single particle of light, called a photon.
"What this chip can do because it's sensitive to single photons is it can see in the dimmest possible light," Fossum says.
Fossum's chip works at room temperature and uses standard manufacturing tools. He describes his new chip in the journal Optica.

Holy smokes, the current Red 4K sensor has 16.5 stops DR? Put that on an 8K sensor and the traditional still camera makers will be in serious trouble!

You're right Erich! My Sony FS7 was $10,000 camera and 28-135 lens combo. Get an 8K RED into that price range and a whole bunch of folks will be scrambling, buyers and manufacturers. I love my Sony's, but the RED system is so customizable and compact it's incredible. This is big news for sure.
