Keep this just between us Lexar contacted me to tell me not to lose confidence in them as a memory source. They alluded to a whole new line of memory cards that they will be bringing to market soon. So, once again, the news isn't very accurate, even when it comes to digital memory. They weren't getting out of the business, just retooling ad ramping up.

It gets curiouser and curiouser.
I'd heard through the usually infallible internet that SanDisk had bought Lexar. Having had pretty good results with both makers I thought that was the end of it.
Nope; turns out Lexar was bought by a Chinese company.

Glad to hear of her progress. You have blooming flowers in the UK already??
Erich
Oh yes we do Erich. The north European coast in general, and the British Isles in particular, benefit massively from the Gulf Stream. Just look on a map and follow our latitude across to Canada..... and permafrost, Here on the south coast of the UK some of our flowers are over already! We have small Iris that are often a vivid deep blue. We have ours in pots - finished now, but being overtaken by crocus. Some trees have blossom before they have leaves.,,,
..... and tiny flowers with exquisite scent - if given the hot breath treatment.....
All can be combined with spectacular tree bark and plant foliage to make a winter garden that will brighten up the dullest day.....

With a little luck Chandler and I will be winging our way to San Diego next week for a couple of days with a small ISAP contingent at El Centro. The spring Blue Angels gathering is always a great time and ISAP's relationship with the base allows some really fun vantage points. This time I think I'll skip the part where I toss 20 grand worth of Canon gear into the dirt, that's one of those experiences where once is plenty.
When are you going? I"ll be in Coachella mon-tues. Next Thursday is the first flight of the upcoming season's Delta
formation over the base.
Not only is the Learjet just about the sexiest jet out there, It was an especially memorable and special flight due to the participants.
The photoship was a recently aquired Foxstar Baron 58 purchased and flown by Frank Wiesser, last season Blue Angel lead Solo #5 (2nd from right), and the Lear formation was flown from the right seat by Ryan Bernacci, last season Blue angel Boss #1 (4th from right). It was really fun to tease and watch them joke with each other about the "Boss" becoming the wingman, and Frank becoming flight lead.
Missed the focus on this one - you cant win them all!

Sorry Glenn, I have had so much going on that I got a week ahead of myself. Chili and I are headed out a week from Wednesday. I'm kind of relieved because things were closing in on me and I can really use next week to get a bit ahead.

"Found" Kermit Weeks YT channel a couple months ago and I found these videos of a walk around (& some crawling thru) of the Philippine Mars worthy of a link. It will take an hour to watch all three.
