I wonder if that is just for copy of the lens? I have some incredibly sharp images at 800 and the bokeh is excellent, all very surprising for an $1800 lens.

That certainly could be the case, but then again i don't photograph as often as you do
We will see what else pops up when viewing the results.
Then, as dark sets in, a 1956 de Havilland Chipmunk from GhostWriter Airshows, originally developed as a trainer for the Royal Canadian Air Force, launched a pyrotechnic display.
I think I forgot to adjust the SS. All at 1/10 sec
Any Sandman pictures from the show ?
That's the jet I shot last Friday before it goes to a golf course, but maybe a museum but I'm pretty sure a golf course in Arizona with all the other jets on display at each hole on the golf course.

That’s some good Texas gene, Jim!
I got back from Belgium Tuesday night. Haven’t looked the airshow pictures yet. For the evening show on Saturday, it was raining most of the time, everyone got soaking wet, some acts were canceled. The Greek F-4 did fly, but instead of getting beautiful sunset lighting, we got dark clouds. The sunday show started beautifully weather wise, thick clouds rolled in much of the afternoon, when the good stuff performed. The Lancaster never flew on either day, and the Polish F 16 was on the schedule originally… will start going through the files in a day or two.
A few shots from Ghent, Belgium from Friday evening and Saturday morning before I drove to the Sanicole show.. The hotel for Saturday night is about 45 kms from show because I couldn't find anything near the show. When I chose the hotel as destination in google map in my phone, the address showed Netherlands. I was like, what?! Netherlands?? Had to double check to make sure that's was the hotel I booked. I didn't notice that when making the reservation in Expedia. I guess in Europe going to different country is like us going to different states here.
