I thought, for a minute, that I was going to have an opportunity to buy Joe Eady dinner in a few weeks, but alas, my Alabama assignment is an in /out south of Birmingham. I have to shoot a groundbreaking and then head right to the airport so I can get to another assignment.
Checking in..
Haven't been behind the camera much lately, work and stuff sure get's in the way!
Returned from another week in the mountains a couple of weeks ag0, Sure was good to get a break from the 100's here in DFW.
We made our first trip to the Santa Fe Opera house for an evening with Lyle Lovett, Ray Wiley Hubbard and Hayes Carll. ( Texas singer songwriters of the country and western style)>
What a fantastic venue. (my phone is the only camera they would let me in with.. )

Fantastic set! I love closeups, as you probably all know. The London (Canada) show is on my bucket list, I want to shoot at sunset.
Thanks Doug. I missed the London one this year. Good thing about the London ONT one is that you have access to the Tarmac without any credentials. You can get some nice stills. Let me know if plan to come, that location is maybe an hour from my place.

Jim where is your assignment? I might just drive out just to say hi and shake your hand.

Outside of Birmingham, big VIP gathering for a ground breaking. I'm coming in on the client's Gulfstream, helicoptering to the site, and right back out to the next shoot. We'll get to do it sometime I hope. When ELK had a plant in Tuscaloosa I'd shoot there a half dozen times a year, but GAF bought them out, there is a story there that I'll tell some time.

Well that stinks but there will be another chance one day.
Got this beautiful Falcon 7X last week for a client and the weather was absolutely perfect. I'm sure glad to see the cooler
temperatures starting to stay around these parts.
Off to Atlanta and Charleston for two aircraft this week.
Here are a few of the Patriots Jet Team from Saturday at the California International Airshow in Salinas, CA. We had fog which lifted shortly after the scheduled airshow start. Unfortunately, it returned precisely at 3PM just in time to force cancellation of the Thunderbirds. Oh, well.
