Very nice shots Jim and that one where he is catching the ball next to the dugout fence...What a capture.
The 100-500 scares me with the higher F stop but you do it well.
Couple more photo shop edits.
Real planes, just changed the sky...
.
4th plane down, I have pixs of that whole wing on a stand being worked on for Erickson about 12 years ago...Pretty neat.
.
The B-25 H Stabilizer just shipped back to Erickson last Thursday and now they are working on the 2 Vert stabilizers and we will be making parts for those as well. Can't wait to shoot pixs of it when it's all done before if flies back to its owner in Switzerland.

With an epic price tag, I would think.
What does a flight like that cost? I've looked at a couple of websites, but no one ever mentions price. And Jim, I appreciate your comment regarding them paying us, but we would need to borrow your resume and reputation for a little while to make that happen!
Last time I had a discussion with The Photo Crew regarding working with ISAP, I believe those sorties were a couple of thousand a pop. I'm thinking that the fee varies with the subject matter.
I sold my R5 for $1900, which I think is a little above market, but it is mint and comes all decked out. I'm having a little seller's remorse, wondering if I should just keep it as a spare.

CIAS Toronto 2024. No F-35 this time but Raptor and Hornet kept us entertained. They have the show set up by Lake Ontario and timing and sun location does not make it ideal to get great shots. Here are few i deemed sharing There was a designated area called Photographers Pit but i was late as it get sold out pretty fast. Met few folks from UK who strangely prefer shooting F-22 over F-35
Cheers,
IB
Glad to see us olde dslr farts posting great images!

No cash has changed hands yet, but I need to honor my commitment. Picked up my second "II" a little while ago, charging batteries and downloading the three assignments that I shot this morning.
Sheila and I took in another Rangers/Yankees game last night. I have a friend who was the Bush era Rangers photographer and he offered to get me a media pass anytime I'm at the game, just never took him up on the kind offer. I do alright from the "cheap" seats..............

2000-4000 Euros/day, depending on the expected join-ups. They give a small discount if you book several days in the same project. Not cheap for sure but at least you should do it once. The thrill of seeing those fighter jets cruising 50' behind you is worth it, IMHO.
That is definitely a bucket list item for aviation photographers Douglas, and you have maximized the opportunity. Really, how many people ever get to shoot aircraft like that air to air, a handful. Like buying a big white lens, the money that you spend is forgotten, the memories last forever.
Canon has definitely fired a shot heard round the world with the C400 announcement. RED is dropping the new Komodo price by $3,000, that's huge, and unheard of for RED. Sony, is Sony and they probably won't react, but they are sitting there with a Murano that is vastly outpaced by the C400, and it's priced at $26,000, yikes! I'm looking forward to reaping the benefits of this battle of the behemoths!
Been scrambling this week, dodging clouds and rain with the drone and most importantly, welcoming #10, our first great grandchild, into our lives.................. Appropriately, he was delivered by the caring hands at "The Margot Perot Center" in Dallas. Bit of a tricky delivery but they did a wonderful job and everyone is doing well.
