Personally, I don't care how many you delete, the keepers are incredible. Extra props to Douglas, "rental car breaking down", whatever, you are unstoppable Buddy! Superbly done! I haven't shot landscape in a while, but I'm sure that you found it a welcome change of pace when compared to the hectic/split second timing of aviation work. I also find it an inspiring time to deepen my connection with our Creator. BTW, He sure emptied the truck when He was handing out your talent.

Looks like some nice blue skies as well.
Thanks. Was light blue, darker blue, white clouds, stormy ugly gray clouds, rotating day of hot and sunburn.
The fact that the sensor has no blackout , regardless of frame rate, is the feature that every R5 owner has been waiting for. That improvement alone would cause me to upgrade, but there are a lot more.
Working on the big display print order that I received a few weeks ago and in the middle of pulling the images the client called me and doubled the order. My lab is pretty excited about a $20K print job, the digital world has been pretty brutal on photographic lab revenues. A few of the image files are 1DXIII images that are cropped and I'm afraid that they might not hold up given the 30x40" requests. Reminds me why I didn't want the R3 and don't want the R1. I'm going to have to have the lab print some test strips to see if the quality will pass muster at that magnification. I have gotten so accustomed to small reproductions and web use that I've lost sight of the fact that you should always have a big original waiting in the wings.
Jim, the new R5 II seems to be a great offering, albeit coming out few years later than the competitors. I would be happy with that camera if I were shooting Canon.
