Prior to my 2013 Sienna, I did ALL mtce and oil changes myself.

I do NOT like the Toyota Service in my area or even near DC. The lie and cheat! A Service Advisor brought out a cabin air filter and said it was mine and it looked like 50 years of gunk trapped in it. I asked to see the glove box(behind it is the cabin AF)....he took me over to the wrong vehicle!!! It was a ruse!!!!
I fear "the reaper" everytime I go in for service. They are NOT trustworthy around here.
Not saying ALL Mfg are but I have NOT experienced a truthful one in over 50 years....Show more →
A true service man...A true business...A true service...A true man...Bout a thing of the past.

That's why we have all learned to turn a wrench.
I have a gentleman that I have been talking to over the past few days. He wants to buy a Piper Malibu, but isn't going to do it unless I can get him in one of our hangars. Seems like a really nice guy. My Saratoga tenant sold his plane so that might open a possibility, but the Malibu is a bigger footprint. Gotta go out in the morning and do some ciphering as Jethro Bodine would say......

"Bubblin' ooze" Jim!
I didn't do it for this, being involved in the Honor Flight project was a privilege, but American Airlines just sent me 100,000 Advantage miles as a thank you. Pretty nice of them!

While we are on the subject of our military, I just met with the three young men who will be moving into the hangar very soon. I am so glad that I could figure out a great spot for their new aircraft. When I shook hands with them I came away with this.....
They are all Seal Team One members! I'm looking so forward to having them as friends and tenants. They also asked if I might be able to help them with photography/cinematography for their company. They build precision shooting equipment, rifle barrels, scopes, etc........................I believe that I can!

God Bless Them All!
Garryowen Brothers! U 2 Jim!
You minimized the helicopter shots Douglas, but they are wonderful, the compositions, exposures, backdrops, just spectacular! I love the jet images, but I think I like the feel of the helicopter shots even more. Well done!!

Thank you Jim! I had a very hard time getting a full disk of the choppers A2A. the slowest I tried was 1/80 second. Maybe I should try 1/40 next time? I photographed the Osprey V-22 at an airshow this year, couldn't a a nice disk even at 1/60, all blurry mess, the heat shimmering didn't help either. I didn't keep one single shot of the osprey from the show.
They are tough for sure Douglas, but when you are air to air with them it gives you a fighting chance. The motion you got was great. Every once in a while you can get a full disc but the shutter speed is ridiculous, like 1/8th or lower.
