Began today at 5:30 setting up for a series of predawn perspectives on a commercial architectural project, then a couple of hours of helicopter work, followed by more architecture, wrapping up with dusk shots of the same project. Just your average 16 hour day, I can truly say, I would never work this hard for any other employer.
I'm probably not doing this properly with the "quotes" and all that mess, but here goes.
Not going to pack woolies. I "might" back a sweatshirt, but I am a shorts guy until about 20 degrees or below.....
Couple of years ago, I was in Sarasota, FL in shorts, no less, and got a call that a client needed me the NEXT day in Teterboro. Now this is in February !! Made a connection in Charlotte, NC on American and bought a North Carolina "hoodie" sweat shirt.....get to Teterboro and it is 14 degrees, and I am in shorts on the ramp, wearing my "hoodie" sweatshirt. I don't think I've ever been so thankful of a purchase in my life!
Thankfully, that evening, when I got to my hotel, my wife had FedExed me a bunch of warm clothes for the next two days.
Good times and great memories, but doggone it, that was COLD !!

Spent an amazing day with troops from Rhode Island National Guard at Fort Drum in NY. We flew for Quonset RI to Fort Drum in a RI Air National Guard C-130J and watched an artillery unit fire M777 Howitzers as part of their training. On the return flight to RI I got to sit in the jumpseat behind the pilots. It was a typical hot humid summer day in the northeast and the crew had to pick their way through the t-storms.

Jay, temps here last few days have been in the 60's at night, and we have a couple of 50's at night coming up...The end of June, the temps in MA were down in the 50's and it made for rough sleeping in the car that night, with no blankets. (Next trip I pack a sleeping bag or two in there)
After all those 90's it'll probably feel cold Have fun.

Yeah, I saw something similar a couple years ago and was surprised that the organizers sanctioned it!

Had an assignment this afternoon/evening that inspired me, polished up my Texan Pride and was an all around great time! How many venues can you attend these days that honor America, our military, open with a prayer, a real prayer not some watered down multi denominational version of something that is supposed to pass of ra prayer. Oh yeah, and a whole bunch of western grit as we watched 45 of the top bull riders in the world ply their craft.
