Santa Fe 3751 at Fullerton today. The other side was crawling with people at Fullerton Railroad Days. This side was clear but across triple active tracks and behind fences, etc. I was hoping to try my new wide angle closer but display uinits were crowded or behind fencing, stairs and ladders, etc.
click on the image (right click) at the bottom of the pop up menu is "Properties" - scroll down to it and then copy the image location line... it usually ends with .jpg and not htm.
Craig, nice shot of 3751. I was there Sunday and never thought about going across the tracks to take a shot...Duh...
It was sure nice to see it in person. It is a big beast.
I actualy found a parking space right there next to the bridge. Talk about handy!
As an aside, I don't have a "calibrated" monitor yet but have set adjustments from various sites with the "You should be able to see ...." with various levels of black or white, gray tones, etc., and work with the histograms in post processing. I've checked against another family members monitor and another computer and they semed to be set brighter, to the extent that somethings were over bright from my postings.
How's it look from a brightness, etc., standpoint?
Ah, another nice shot. I've never been to the Colorado narrow gauges. Going to have to do those trips. Now if I could just convince my wife it's a "land" cruise and not a phto trip.... A friend took what may be one of my favorite pictures but I couldn't get a copy from him - one of the the steam trains crossing a remote street crossing - no modern crossing signals, just a road and a crossbuck. He's found an antique frame with an oval mat and it was perfect, he converted it to B&W (maybe started B&W, it was in film days) and toned it. Looked to be an original. The only give away was the painted stripe on the asphalt.
