Took my girls to their first ball game last weekend. This was my first weekend with my new Nikkor 24-70 mounted to my D700. I had the sigma model for the past two years. Pleasantly surprised.
So after the second day of our vacation (this ball game) I decided to do some reading online and took some Ken Rockwell advice on metering. I switched from spot to matrix for the next day and was pretty thrilled to only get about 5 decent shots. (Sarcasm- as I feel 90% of the shots I took the previous two days were lovely)
My first non for sale post... I'm just reinvigorating my interest in photography after getting jazzed up about the Nikon D800E. I'm on the list for one at two local stores (and already have lots of Nikkor glass, over 10 full frame primes), so I've started poking my head around seeing what's up.
I'll throw you way back, this was shot on a hike during my first few months interested in photography. Shot with a Nikon N70 (I saw one for sale the other day for $20) and the original 24-120mm zoom, at 24mm. Fuji Reala 100 color negative film.
