Just messing around again with the flash. I've got some great ideas, I think, for some shots. Hopefully I can get them this weekend.
I realize this may look a bit off kilter. I wasn't parallel with the desk so that line at the bottom is angled. Best outcome for my poor framing I think.

Thanks MJ. At maximum magnification (2.36x) the working distance from the front element is 75mm and actually reduces as you zoom back to lower mags.
For lighting I used an SB800 and homemade ring flash adapter on the first 3 and just a stofen diffuser with the SB800 on a bracket for the last 3. Here's a few more with the ring flash adapter.
Apparently, if your accidentally locked in a freezer on a WWII Battleship, you're only hope is if someone hears this bell across the way....I wouldn't wanna test it...
