My son met a 6 week old kitten. He is very gentle to animals and his little sister, so he didn't apply any pressure on this image, although it may look like it. I thought it was a precious moment.

After many months of inspiration via the shutters of all you devoted Nikonians (and others; I'll admit I look at other forums as well), I am finally ready to post some of my "best Nikon shots." Who wouldn't be after purchasing a D200 one month and taking it to Monument Valley the next?

Pavel, I do indeed love the capability of my D200 to capture the brilliant palette of colors I saw on my trip.
Steen, I guess I officially became serious about photography when I bought an off-brand film SLR from Kmart because the light meter was broken. I was immediately hooked--and I learned a lot about shooting from instinct because of the lack of metering. The two Pentax K1000's I bought soon thereafter were my best friends for many years. About two years ago they both broke down on the same weekend trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and I figured they weren't worth fixing. I subsequently got a Nikon N65 as a gift but never got to know it at all. Another unsatisfactory gift came in the form of a Kodak point-and-shoot digital, which is what I have been using until my recent Nikon epiphany. I can't exactly say "the rest is history," because one month hardly counts in the historical perspective . . . but I do hope that my Nikon D200 and I will have a long history together.
