Thanks, glad you liked them. The 2nd one is not an HDR, lot's of people think that, but it's just heavily processed from the original jpg file(yes, i used to shoot in jpg only, lol). I used a combination of a few different blending modes, custom curves, and a little lucisact as well to get that look.
Here's my attempt to recreate this look with another shot. I forgot exactly how I did it so i came up with this other attempt. This shot was also taken with my D200 + 300 2.8
My wife and I had some guests over for dinner last night and so a single rose was added to the table. I decided to play around a bit and see what I could do.
Nikon D40x, 55-200 VR, ISO 100, f/16, 2 sec, 145mm.
I've been playing around with my D300 and 150mm macro trying to get some good pics of my guitars. Would love your thoughts on these as I'm still just playing and not knowing what I'm doing really.
