Went to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on Saturday. They have WWI and WWII vintage planes that can actually fly!!! And if you pay to be member, then you can get a ride in one!
Tried out a friend's Reflex-Nikkor 500mm f/8. So hard to focus! Anyway, some shots with the D2H.
From Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the southernmost city of the Eurasian continent and just a stone's throw from Singapore. The state mosque, built in Moorish style.
From a local motocross. I struggled to get a shot that was sharp and yet still had good motion blur. This was my best effort. They eyes are very sharp at 100%.
I did not use a flash fortunately the pool is shaded by trees and the sky was overcast with the only viewable area to the sky behind me so I believe that created the flash catchlight look in the eyes
thanks for the reply. I really like the composition. A classic photo.

This lioness photo prints beautifully. I think the color balance may still be off but it is hard to tell with only green beige and gray to work with.

Pretty! I think there's a slight cyan/blue bias.
Yeah that was my initial gut reaction too... If you use NX have you tried using the "set custom greyscale" function and select a section of the grey rock in setting WB to see what it gives you? Is this from a RAW file?
Regardless, nice shot.
And that second jet shot, no matter how many times I see it... is phenominal.

Sorry about the double posting. I didn't realize I had posted it before. That is one of my all time favorites.
