I love my Mark-3s sent the first one back but set up the new cameras the same way this shot was taken with the ring of fire only because I was to lazy to set it back to single focus there was amound of sand in front of the bird and in the back and I was down on the sand
Nill have not heard a single word about anything! with my Mark II when taking flight shots I always shot +2/3 comp with the Mark 3 I do not give any comp for flight shots because I noticed the whites were getting blown out! this shot was done in apeture priority@ 320 ISO F.8 no comp it aws done due to lazyness seen the bird lying in the sand dropped down to get the shot! had if I had gone to changing the settings the bird would have been gone becausre right after this shot he got up and left.

It would not track,focus, when it did lock on the first picture would be sharp then then would be slightly out of focus third more etc until you could not make out what it was! tried different settings no luck
i've had a pre production markIII for 2 days. I shot baseball games at high iso and birds in full sun, everything was great about this unit. My favorites on that markIII are; Af on button, Af speed, high iso, battery improvement, IQ and of course the TV in the back... I didnt had the focus issues, but it was a pre production unit loan to me by my cps rep. Will get one when available.
