So for all the people who said April 15 ... it's the 16'th. Where's your camera?
I am going to be doing the same thing to you guys now claiming end of April ... I don't think so, according to my guy.. I have been told May, mid to late May, and in very tight supply then. Not any real volume until June.
I still hear May 10 in the U.S. No Idea about supply. If the problem was software, supply should ramp up quickly. If it was hardware/manufacturing, it's not going to be pretty.
I wonder if this pushes back the 1Ds.
Let me just take this opportunity to say that I think that ISO safety shift is just the neatest thing.
I'm waiting for the $3999 price that Canon promised. (Actually, I'm waiting for the 5D mk II).
Tallyn's pre-order price is $4350. This includes a 2gb CF card and free shipping. After April 30, the price will increase to Canon's MAP ($4500). Expected date is late May according to their Canon Rep. It is a first come first serve list. You can only order online. This is the best price so far I've seen for the US.
Tallyns are saying "Expected" Late May.
So does anyone know for sure?
Heck! Canon may not even know!
We'll only know for sure when someone starts shipping.
