I'm sticking with Hunt's, I should be pretty high on the list as I ordered two days before the announcement and they are holding my deposit....

Spare a thought for those of us down here. My original price was $5200 US but I've gotten almost down to the Tallyn's price above without the worry of shipping from the other side of the world. I'm the tenth at my store on back order with the dealer telling me he wasn't sure that I'd get one in the initial delivery and they'll only be able to get two a month for the time being - sheesh

Sometimes you have to wonder with whom someone is getting-even,...and for what.
Some people believe in truth, honesty, accuracy, and being responsible. Take a look back through these threads at a number of people who said April 15. I have seen no apologiess or explanations.
Is it a big deal ... no. But I said they were wrong at the time and I was right, they were wrong. Now we will see if I am right. I'm sure you'll be watching ... and I welcome that.

You're really going out on a limb with your two month window, maybe just stating it would arrive in 07 would have given you just as much chance of being "right"; as if this was a right or wrong issue. You can't be serious, apologies for speculating the wrong date? I hear photography is a great hobby. This thread would have more than doubled in size if all of the off speculation had been apologized for, and on the other hand, it would be quartered if we got rid of all the nah nah nah nah posts along with the speculation.

Tallyns is ok. They're not new. I have purchased from then several times and have always been happy with their service. I got a really great used 16-35L from him at a really great price for a 9+ used lens.
True, I don't remember getting a tracking number from them, but then I don't always keep up with the tracking numbers anyway.
And..I never heard of Hunts. I Guess I'll have to search them out!

Personally Tim, I don't give a rat's ass if you are right or wrong. You might want to consider some counseling as it may be a better use of your funds than a new camera.

Gee, we would save even more space by eliminating posts from those who can't read ... like you.
I clearly say to the literate, that initial shipments are mid to late May but limited volume. In case you also can't do math, that is a 2 week window, not 2 month. No larger shipments until June. I first posted this 25 days ago, https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/511277/106#4494376

They need to get the mark III out so we can read posts about when is the 1DsmarkIII and or the 5DmarkII coming out. But then if I had one on order I'd be antsy too. Actually I wish I had one on order.

May 26 that really, really sucks. I'm glad i just got a 5D as a backup, otherwise, i'd really be screwed. I hope others will get cameras before hunt's!!!
