A 40d? Really? Canon is going to release a 40d? Wow!!! What a surprise that is, why it seems like just a year ago canon released the 20dMk1.5 and now a 40d. Wow!!! No one could have guessed that. Possibly 10MP? I'm so excited!
Works everytime. If you wait long enough, people start repeating the things other people speculated as if they're true. These things kind of feed on each other across fora. As my old boss used to say, "you lie and I'll swear to it".
Sure we'll get a new camera somewhat soon, but if Canon does what many have suggested, it will be another snoozer and I'd like someone to wake me when something interesting does happen. A trite d80, er uh, 400d, uhmmm, I mean a 40d won't count IMO. Z.
I think the 40D should have 12 MP and crop 1.3
I remember Canon said the did not released the 30D with 10 MP because the camera would not have the image quality canon like to deliver for this kind of camera.

Most of it is, in my eyes anyway. But hey, this thread is (for the most part) nothing more than enless and harmless bickering, with an occasional gem in the mud. Really no harm done

Where are all of the pro body rumors? That's got to be the big release this spring doesn't it? And the fantastical 1.6x pro body is part of that right?
It looks fake. It would be very annoying if Canon is wasting effort on that white elephant when there are so many holes in the lineup of more realistic lenses.
