"Well, Canon rolls out a load of new stuff here on Feb 22. I'm invited but it's a long way to go. Ping Mark Dunn - if yer out there, wanna press conference invite?"
This was posted on DCR this evening by someone I know by reputation here in the UK & it fits in with what others have already said about the 22nd.
I don't know if that bunny is a Martian or not, but from the looks of him, you'd have a tough time stuffing him into a Saturn, or for that matter, a Volkswagen. I'd bet he spends his spare time running down and eating rottweilers.
Word on the street is that there is an "important" meeting at Canon Corporate Office in Lake Success, NY today and tomorrow. Keep checking press releases on Canon USA and Canon Europe websites

What is DCR? Does seem like the end is approaching...
Tonight I'm going to try to take some pictures of saturn with my 50mm lens and see what I get. Then maybe I'll take some pictures of a moving rabbit two miles away and see what it looks like.
Well, besides the relative size of the eagle's eye compared to it's brain, the density of rods and cones in it's retina can be 5x that of us relatively nearsighted humans.
I wonder what the eagle's processor uses for noise reduction?
Great name for the next generation processor/sensor combination...
