Not really a great shot, but one that I like, kind of makes the car look alive. You can see my reflection in the center of the bumper.

Oh dear! This one's gonna be all over the place, so bear with me.

5D, 135/2L on the day that I got the lens (after lusting after it for a couple of years!). Nothing special about the photo, except that it was shot at ISO 1600 and blew me away with almost no noise (after owning a 10D for the past few years)

5D, 70-200/2.8L (non IS) plus 1.4x Extender II:

5D, 100-400L IS at 400mm (to demonstrate how the lens performs for a discussion in another thread):

And finally, a ship heading right into a thunderstorm - 5D, 70-200/2.8L. Not my best lightning photo, but the only one (so far) with my 5D!

It's the only train I could think of that had lights like that on it.

This was my best attempt at using a fisheye lens to take a picture of an insect. It was supposed to be a bug's view of the sunrise.

Nice photos.

But I know some others are thinking the same thing. Most of these could have been taken with any $1000 digital slr. My 2 cents.

Well any photo can be TAKEN with a less expensive camera. The difference that I'm sure you already appreciate as an owner of FF high MP cameras is detail and image quality (particularly the subtle changes in shadow detail vs. lower MP cams). I just printed a 16x20 shot that is stunning compared to my prior experience with a D2H and 20D. Can't wait for my first 30x40.

WOW!!! Beautiful color and contrast.

Shouldn't be reading post like this. This spells trouble in the budget department.

Great shots everyone, I'm glad I started this thread now.

Here's another that I like, I printed this at 13x19 and its stunning, I printed the Steam train as well and it's tons better than my old fuji S2

Keith,

Both of your shots are just outstanding compositions! And Steve's bird shot is one sharp picture!
