I'm truly impressed: What would be the main differences between all these beautiful pictures and the same taken by the same photographers with my 20D ?
The prints I get from my 5D images look a lot better than from my 20D images. They are cleaner, sharper and appear to have less noise. But mostly, the colors are very clean and just better looking overall.

Very nice shot. Curious if you had noise reduction on with that shot. I noticed you shot it at ISO 400. I'm still trying to get a handle on ISO selection for night exposures since I just haven't done too much of that yet.
wow - some great images. I just cannot quite decide if this is a good move for me or not? I notice most of you using L primes or zooms, so wonder if this might be a prerequisite for quality..... Not sure if my non-L zooms will cut it?
Bottom shot is from a 24-105IS 1/8sec ISO 3200, top is from a 70-200IS at 200mm.
I don't think I'd have upgraded from a 20D either, if I had one. Many of the new 5D owners seem to have upgraded from the 10D...but I don't know for sure. If I had the 20D I would at least have waited for a better price or other features that I want like ECF.

I think I'll keep my 20D for now but will purchase the 24-105 IS lens.
Can you see the 5D's superiority over the 20D even when using L series Zoom lenses, instead of primes?
I ask because I have the 17-40/4L, 24-70/2.8L, 70-200/2.8L IS and 100-400/4.5-5.6L IS lenses, and I never use primes.

I cannot speak for the 20D since I've never owned one but most of the prints I have are from the 17-40 and they are stunning. I'm using the epson R2400, photo luster paper and my print size is 13x19
I have yet to print anything from a prime lens I can only imagin how nice they will look. The 24-70 is a sharper lens that the 17-40 I.M.O. It's the next lens I'm adding to my set along with the 135L.
I have not printed much. The prints I have made were mostly from images shot with the 135L. But I can see the 5D large prints being better than the 20D across the board (i.e. with any lens) because of the larger sensor and 4 million extra pixels.
