In all seriousness, if those are indeed sample shots with a 1200/5.6, the vignetting is less than impressive. Hard to judge sharpness without 100% crops though.
Future, nah. Past, yes. My C5+ celestron is about equal to 1200 (f11 though). Now you can collect enough light with it to see some pretty far galaxies, ie look back into the past...

Let's see here if 12 people went in on the lens each one could have it for 4 weeks each and I would get it the remaining 4 weeks of the year for coming up with the idea
Hey that is only $6,250 each ... that is just about doable.
The sad thing here is that I am only half kidding here .. a time share lens not altogether a far fetched idea.
