There seems to be many good lenses that often get over looked or over shadowed by there bigger "L" brothers.
What lenses do you concider to be "Sleeper" lenses in the lineup?

I vote for 85/1.8 lens. 35/2 can be too but has too much CA.

The 50/1.8 is the ultimate sleeper. It's bay far the cheapest lens Canon makes, but it's image quality rivals that of many L zooms.

I would not call the 50/1,4___85/1,8 or 100 macro for sleeper lenses. There are threads about them every day here
And a lot of people have them.
Maybe the 135/2,8....

Maybe the original poster meant 'hidden gems' as non 'L' lenses which perform very well and yet are relatively inexpensive compared to 'L' glass?

100/2, 135/2.8 SF and the 200/2.8
All are overlooked because of the 70-200's and the 135L

I would say the 100mm f/2 wich is totally overshadowed by the 85mm f/1.8 despite almost being identical in both construction and performance.
My second vote is for the 135mm f/2.8 soft focus wich seemingly no one has despite useful range and good performance.
You might also consider the 28mm f/1.8 a sleeper, a lot less popular than the 35 f/2 despite being a fine lens and very useful range.
I consider the 24mm f/2.8 and 20mm f/2.8 to in a coma. Might be a good step for Canon upgrading these two, maybe with a f/1.8 models.

My vote also goes for the 135/2.8 SF. My copy is extremely sharp with nice contrast. $210 very well spent.
The 28/2.8 is also very good.

I also would vote for 100/2. If people are fine with 85mm on cropped sensors for Portrait, then 100/2 will be a very nice portrait lens on FF.

Here's another vote for the 28 f/1.8. Lots of mixed reviews, compounded by measurebating have put this lens in the sleeper category. I find mine quite detailed, contrasty, colorful, and sharp!
