Edit: My copy also does not fully lock onto the camera. The hole for the locking pin is just a touch too small. The camera's pin only goes into the lens as much as the chamfer allows. It does hold the lens in place, but does not represent great quality control
I just tested it and my copy also can't lock onto the camera. The lens does not lock securely onto the camera body. I can rotate and remove the lens without pressing the lens release button on the camera.
My copy locks on my m11p fine. If anything it had very tight tolerance and hard to put on. Flare to my LED flash light seems okay with the integrated hood pulled out. Will test in the sun when available. Quick test shots at f1.4 showed front focusing by about 6 inches from about 1-5m range. Hard to focus due to sniper short focus throw, but definitely off from my RF patch to liveview. No focusing alignment issues with other Leica lenses.

As I’ve already mentioned, the only clear advantage I see is its close-focus performance, where achieving excellent results is exceptionally easy. The real test of a lens, however, is how it performs from medium distances all the way to infinity. With close-focus photography, almost any image can look impressive due to the strong separation of the subject from the background, but this also tends to reveal certain imperfections. While these flaws can sometimes add character and produce a beautiful image, that was not the purpose for which this lens was designed.
To put some of the enthusiasm into perspective, I’m including a photo taken with the Leica Summilux-M 50mm ASPH II close-focus wide open.

I have the same front focus issue as well. Strange that it's only present in these middle distances.
