You're doing a lot of projecting and arguing against stances no one is making, so I'm going to move on. I hope the lens is good once it arrives and you make great images with it!

This is with the reissue released last December. Shot at 3.5 or f4. Not one thought of MTF went through my mind. I'm sure they have their purpose. But for real world use not that important.

On the kerfuffle above, the best way forward is to compare the original lenses with the revised lenses. You'll quickly come to some conclusions as to the excellence or otherwise of the revisions made.
Names are labels, they are a form of 'word magic' that informed people can resist pretty easily. Knock-offs are common, even inside the same producer. I don't think you can blame anyone for advertising the kind of lenses they have used as sources for their often heavily reworked creations. Change the glass, change the coatings, change the element spacing, you have changed the lens.
Copyright law can take care of egregious transgressions:
'No, individual names like "Mandler" and 'Summilux' are not subject to copyright. Copyright law protects original creative works, books, and art, but it does not protect short phrases, names, titles, or last names. Names: Not protected by copyright.'
They will very likely go with the same layout as the base lens, aiming for similar results: 'the Leica Summilux 50mm f/1.4 pre-ASPH E46 (Version 3) uses straight-edged aperture blades that form a polygonal opening when stopped down, rather than curved or rounded blades.'
I wonder if the 12 aperture blades will produce any kind of ninja star shaped bokeh balls.
I own the Leica 50/1.4 vII which has 12 aperture blades, too. No star-shaped bokeh produced here. Later versions of this Summilux were made with only 9 blades.

I am curious about this lens--especially given the price, RF coupling and 0.5 MFD. Summilux clone or no, just looking for personality I like in a 50mm.
This is not a reflection of how the Mandler 50mmf1.4 Summilux pre asph E 46 might perform compared to the original Leica version of this lens but their 35mm f2 KOB, as well as it seemed to be received, was quite different optically than the original Leica 35mm f2 ver IV (KOB). This leads to the question whether this new Madler tries to replicate the optical signature of the Leica 50mm f1.5 pre asph or it deviates from it, much like their Mandler KOB has.
That's why I am also interested in this question as apparently the Peace lens 35mm f1.4 pre asph lens closely matches the Leica steel rim reissue optically (except for slightly lower contrast) and now apparently their 50mm f1.4 pre asph that optically emulates the Leica Ver II 50mm f1.4 also comes very close to it in terms of optical signature. The comparison of the Peace lens 50mm f1.4 pre asph vs the Mandler 50mm f1.4 pre asph holds considerable interest.

The Peace Optics 35mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.4 are to my eyes super close to their Summilux counterpart, I own both but my judgement is based on what I know and have seen from the Summilux.
Seeing these samples I'm really excited, I like the Peace Lens 50 Lux replica but seeing these I'm realizing that it's a bit too corrected for my taste. I don't get any of the flare or glow with that lens, the rendering of the bokeh and sharpness are close to each other but sometimes I want that glow and rainwbow flare. It's part of why I shoot the rokkor 40mm and find myself searching ebay for the LLL 35 AA occasionally hoping for a deal lol.
