Good catch! Yes, rather non-2025, but we get fully articulated LCD in exchange .
I wonder what the readout speed will be, but looks like it will be fast enough for most things...
Will be keeping an eye on this. 61 MP on the A7r V is nice but the file sizes during travel is a bit rough, especially since I edit on my iPhone 15 Pro or iPad Mini when not at home.

You can't pass judgment until you've seen it. Nobody knows if the optical system has been changed. Sure, the viewfinder is probably from the parts bin, but nobody knows for sure. The processor could also make a difference. I don't know why we have to speculate two hours before the release. 😇

Frankly, I can't believe that, which is why I'm skeptical about the rest as well. How can Sony or a retailer guarantee an extended warranty if the supply of spare parts isn't guaranteed?

Yes, purely from a megapixel standpoint, it's rather disappointing for me too. But let's wait and see; perhaps other things will help make the viewfinder more enjoyable. I have a Leica SL2-S. It doesn't have nearly 10 million pixels like the Sony A7VR, yet it's probably no worse.
If it ends up being just a mediocre viewfinder, I'm in "trouble".
All seems what most of us expected. It is a very compelling camera. But prices keep going up, that is over $3K with sales tax. In Europe, it is 3K euros, and won't be on sale anytime soon. You get a Nikon Z6 III with the excellent 24-120/4 for the same price.
I so wish they would have updated the grip design to the one of the a1 II and a9III.
Having watched the presentation, I'd say it looks pretty nice.
For the way I shoot, I 100% prefer fully articulated LCD to a higher-res EVF. To each his own of course .
If I got it right, there's also a new HQ RAW compression available (should be backported IMHO, but won't be).
Maybe I should trade-in my old timer (A1 classic) for the new kid on the block ...
