I am still paying $9.99/month for 20GB Photography plan (just double checked my account), I never switched to annual and did not get that email that others did.
Same Here. I pay CAD$155 yearly for the 20GB plan. This has been the case for a couple of years. I have no intention to upgrade/pay double. If they force it, it would leave me with no choice but to quit Adobe subscription plan. Considering that I am generally a light user of their software, it doesn't make any sense to me to pay any more than what I am currently paying.
I do own the CS6 suite that I had purchased back in time and it's still installed on my system. I have also installed Canva and Gimp which I use rarely. By default, I use Photoshop + ACR and only occasionally/rarely Lightroom.

just go to cancel your plan it will offer you a discount.
Are you sure? At what step is the discount offered? It seems like they will just cancel at step 2. That would leave a more expensive plan ($20/mo.) as the only way back in.

When I cancelled my plan there was no retention offer - Adobe didn’t seem to care.
I'm currently on the grandfather LR+PS+20GB plan, but I never used PS in the past 5 years and don't see a chance of using in the near future (1~3 years). Glad to know adobe finally releases a LR only plan. Should I switch without hesitation?
btw, not really a deal - mystery ranch releases HIP MONKEY 25, which is an uber-expensive version of hip monkey, which I consider as the best photograph waist pack.
They not only went to a subscription model but also jacked up the price of the perpetual license to $300 with only a year of updates offered. I had written off every buying it after I did a trial but it looks like they finally added customizable keyboard shortcuts so now I'm interested.
You might be interested to know that Lightroom just added ai-powered culling.

I tried Lightroom's ai-powered culling, but didn't find it to be useful. I don't understand the Stacking feature. Does it save anybody time? Once your photos are stacked by similarity, you still have to review each photo to choose the best. So Stacking is just a step before doing the exact same amount of manual work.

I haven't actually tried it because I don't shoot in a method where I need it, or have a ton of similar shots of people where AI would help, but I the way I understood is that the stack were "potential keepers" that met certain metrics, just like you'd sort on your first pass through. Then you decide which ones you're going to actually keep from that group knowing that they all met the metrics, so it's saving you the time of the first pass.
You are offered a discount during the last step of the cancellation process when you click "Continue" after selecting "Cancel your plan" and are shown offers to stay. You must click through several steps, select a reason for cancellation, and proceed to the final screen where Adobe presents offers like a reduced price or a number of free months to try and keep you as a customer

That is a two year old thread. The last reply from one year ago says they caught on to this and now you must cancel and at some time in the future sign-up and hope for a discount.

Is it still the gold standard for fast culling?
I use FastRawViewer for initial culling before importing to LR. Photo Mechanic is probably still the gold standard, but I'm too cheap

Fantastic, thanks for the top tip Kalainen.
Me too, 79 euro for 1 year lightroom is great !
Tried Lumos software for 7 days straight (free) but the workflow so different to me, lightroom 'caught me'.
